Every Network TV Show Cancellation & Renewal Of 2019 (So Far)

The broadcast networks decide the fate of many shows with dozens on ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and The CW being canceled ahead of the upfronts.

TV Show Cancelations 2019

Network upfronts will begin next week, but before the likes of ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, and The CW peddle their various new and returning wares to potential advertisers, there must come the annual culling of the proverbial herd. As such, dozens of shows that were on the bubble (and some that weren’t) have been officially canceled, making room for all the new programs headed to TV this fall.

Most of the cancellations so far aren’t too surprising, with FOX giving the troubled Lethal Weapon the ax after three seasons. Meanwhile, ABC continues its streak of losing some original and funny sitcoms after a few seasons, with Speechless and The Kids Are Alright leaving. Also, the Alphabet Network has given walking papers to Whiskey Cavalier, the lighthearted spy romp starring Lauren Cohan and Scott Foley.

So far, it looks as though NBC and The CW are coming out ahead with just a few cancelations (or series coming to an end) between the two of them. iZombie, Jane the Virgin, and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend are all leaving The CW, leaving it with some room in its schedule to potentially cater to a more female audience. NBC meanwhile has just announced its fall schedule, which includes the full lineup of its Chicago series, as well as returning shows like Manifest and Blindspot.
