With this year being Naruto's 20th anniversary of the anime, tributes are popping up around the internet. This includes a new tribute video from Crunchyroll on YouTube. The video is the perfect way for fans to relive the series from its beginning to the end of Naruto Shippuden.

Created by Masashi Kishimoto, Naruto began serializing in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1999 and continued until 2014. It spanned seventy-two volumes. The anime adaptation of the same name began airing in 2002 and would run until 2017 with a total of seven hundred and twenty episodes across Naruto and Naruto: Shippuden. The series also expanded into eleven films and twelve OVAs. It has since garnered a sequel manga and anime series in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, which is ongoing.

On YouTube, Crunchyroll Collection shared a video that highlights one second from every episode of Naruto and Naruto: Shippuden. From Naruto's early days on Team 7 to his wedding with Hinata (and even Kakashi's full face), some of the best fights and most emotional moments are highlighted in this tribute. At just over twelve minutes long, fans will love seeing the snippets of their favorite episodes and some of the series most memorable moments.

Naruto's Greatest Heroes & Enemies Are Gathered Once More

Fans will easily recognize many of these highlighted moments, which include some of Naruto's best heroes like Rock Lee, Sakura, Gaara, Shikamaru, Kakashi, Jiraiya, and Tsunade, amongst others. It also includes some of the series' biggest villains, like Orochimaru, Sasori, Itachi, Kisame, and Deidara. There are also iconic characters like Madara Uchiha and Minato Namikaze. This tribute doesn't fail to bring up some of the series' biggest moments, like Sakura cutting her hair and eventually becoming an impressive healer when before she felt like dead weight to her team. Additionally, showcased is Gaara's journey from his first big fight with Naruto to becoming Kazekage of Sunakagure (the Village Hidden in the Sand). It also pulls up hilarious moments from Naruto, like Rock Lee's drunken fist technique fight against Kimimaro, a few instances of Naruto's sexy jutsu, and when Team 7 wore cat ears to blend in and infiltrate Nekomata's fortress. It highlights the training days and examinations of the titular hero's youth, as well as his later days as a Sage - and his many fights with Sasuke.

After twenty years, Naruto is still one of the most popular anime and manga series in history. Both iterations have been included on best-selling lists and most watched shows lists. The Naruto run is also one of the most iconic anime movements - as well as an internet meme. The show has aged rather well and maintained its popularity, with its themes still resonating with audiences. A rewatch may be in order, but if fans don't quite have the time, Crunchyroll Collection's tribute video just might hit the spot temporarily. With this video and many other tributes popping up, Naruto's twentieth-anniversary celebration is fully underway.
