Netflix's new comedy-crime series, Murderville, has made quite an impact on audiences as celebrity guest stars attempt to solve murders alongside detective Terry Seattle. Though there are only six episodes in the first season, there are some hilarious takeaways from each episode.

All this being said, this show, hosted by Will Arnett, has impressed critics and fans alike, receiving great rankings from IMDb. However, only a couple of episodes have truly impressed with their tricky clues and quick-witted dialogue, making them instant fan favorites for the audience.

"Murder By Soup" - 6.7

Annie Murphy and Terry Seattle solve the murder by soup case in Murderville

"Murder By Soup" was one of the less memorable episodes of Murderville, even though it still had quite a compelling story. The improv moments just do not live up to the ones in other episodes, and Annie seems to get noticeably frustrated by some of the clues. However, she still does a great job with what is given to her, and she is obviously as driven to solve this case as Magnum P.I.

It may not be the best episode of the series, but it is still pretty strong, as Terry Seattle goes out of his way to add some extra comedy in scenes that read a little too serious. What makes this show great is that even if there is not something funny going on at all times, audiences can focus on the case and the clues. There is never a dull moment.

"Heartless" - 6.8

Sharon Stone and Terry Seattle question a suspect in Murderville

"Heartless" follows Sharon Stone and Terry Seattle as they take on a case where someone has surgically removed a man's heart and stomped on it. While Terry constantly flirts with Sharon, she uses her gruff persona to take control of the case and get down to business. Even when she has to interrogate one suspect while in a Zumba class, she is able to stay calm and collected as she retrieves the answers she wants.

Although she does not actually get the suspect correct, Sharon gives Terry the tough love that he needs and takes the case as seriously as she can. This case is tough, but Sharon gets through it without letting Terry think she falls in love. Not to mention, the best part is when everyone fights over the heart at the beginning of the episode.

"Triplet Homicide" - 6.9

Marshawn Lynch and Terry Seattle gather evidence in Murderville

Marshawn Lynch brings his cheery spirit to this episode as he works with Terry to solve a case where three identical triplets are the murder suspects. This is one of the harder cases in this season, but it means that Marshawn has to ask some difficult questions and get serious to figure out what has happened.

However, Marshawn ends up making everyone break character a few times as he keeps a bright smile on his face. While Terry does not really figure out how to feed off of Marshawn's goofiness, when he lets Marshawn shine, the suspects are able to have improv moments that rival the MCU's hilarious quips.

"The Cold Case" - 7.1

Terry Seattle and Ken Jeong talk to perps in Murderville

Ken Jeong is Terry's trainee in "The Cold Case," and he brings some strange energy to the show. He stays relatively genuine in most scenes and does not try to act stoic when "serious" things happen in the investigation. Instead, he often utters an uncomfortable laugh and does whatever Terry tells him to do.

This is the last episode of the first season, so it is a little plot-heavy as it adds to the mystery behind Terry's old partner's disappearance many years ago. Though this detracts attention away from some of the funny moments in this case, Ken Jeong trying to lay in chalk outline while laughing hysterically makes up for it.

"The Magician's Assistant" -  7.2

Terry Seattle and Conan Obrian reveal the murderer in Murderville

As the first episode of Murderville, "The Magician's Assistant" has more pressure to perform than the rest of the series. The good news is that Conan O'Brien, one of the best US talk show hosts, absolutely knocks this episode out of the park and gives Terry Seattle a lot of comedic material. Conan is forced to eat tons of spicy food in this episode, but the funniest moment is when he has to explain death to a little girl.

This episode really just highlights how smart and funny Conan can be when left to his own devices, and he also solves the murder and gets the killer correct, which does not happen in every episode. While Terry and Conan do not show an innate bond, they both bring some laughs in this episode.

"Most Likely To Commit Murder" - 7.9

Kumail Nanjiani and Terry Seattle talk in the school in Murderville

This episode has the highest IMDb rating out of every other episode. It follows Detective Terry Seattle and his newest trainee, Kumail Nanjiani, who has also had his favorite movies ranked by IMDb, as they investigate the murder of a tech CEO during their nightshift. Kumail and Terry have a hilarious rapport in this episode, and they definitely feed off of each other's quirky energy.

Not only does Kumail crack up several times and squawk like a dinosaur, but he also clearly wants to solve the murder case while trying to make Terry break character. All in all, the case itself is compelling, but it is the comfortability between these two costars that makes this episode such a treat.
