Fans are well aware of the insane amount of transformations Dragon Ball's main protagonist, Goku can utilize whenever he needs a power boost, and now, in a stunning piece of fanart, all of Goku’s various forms combine in a way that pays tribute to one of the greatest Saiyans to ever do it!

Shared on Instagram by username @matsumoto_art, Matsumoto is an illustrator and designer who's all about taking their wide-ranging art styles and applying them to any number of nerd properties. Creating pieces from iconic franchises other than Dragon Ball like Avatar: The Last Airbender, Star Wars, Chainsaw Man, Sailor Moon, and more, Matsumoto wows not only by producing high quality fanart but also with styles that run the gamut from hyper-realistic images to light and cartoony sketches to vibrant and painterly designs to comic and manga-like looks.

Being one of the — if not the — most powerful Z-Warrior in all of Dragon Ball, Goku has ascended to levels of power unheard of since he first transformed into a Super Saiyan during his epic battle against Frieza on an exploding Namek. Hitting the metaphorical gas and never looking back, Goku has moved on to acquire no less than five more forms over the years and shows no signs of stopping anytime soon.

Goku Gets A Rainbow Saiyan Look That Impresses

Drawn smirking and standing tall while defiantly holding the four-star Dragon Ball, Matsumoto’s inspired way of showing all of Goku’s forms by blending them with a rainbow hairstyle is a sight to behold. Keeping Goku’s “base” hair, fans can see the yellow of the trio of Goku’s Super Saiyan forms, the red of Super Saiyan God, the blue of Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, the silver of Ultra Instinct, and to top it all off, the monkey tail of Goku’s Super Saiyan 4 form poking out from around his back. As a bonus, fans can flip through Matsumoto’s post to see zoomed-in images that show off the layers of details that have been added, highlighting Goku’s journey throughout Dragon Ball. Showing both a young Goku, his child son, Gohan, Frieza, Vegeta, Cell, Shenron, a Potara earring, a Great Ape, and more that mark different points in Goku’s life, Matsumoto gives fans a lot to pour over with even more little details hidden throughout for eagle-eyed viewers to find.

So while Matsumoto will probably need to revisit this piece when Goku inevitably gains yet another transformation somewhere down the line, what fans get here is more than enough to impress. Dragon Ball’s Goku has enough forms to warrant more than a few sets of fanart, but with Matsumoto (@matsumoto_art) on the case, fans get to see what they’d all look like fused together!
