It's not unheard of for The Bachelor alums to participate in (and win) Dancing With the Stars. In fact, many The Bachelor contestants have a rich history with the wildly popular and successful American dance competition. Several The Bachelor cast members have graced the DWTS ballroom, and more will make appearances on the series in the future.

Before a contestant from The Bachelor cast eventually won DWTS, there were several others who made appearances, but left without Mirror Ball Trophies. Some did not fare so well, including Jake Pavelka, who was eliminated in week five of the competition. However, other contestants from The Bachelor got further in the competition. For example, Chris Soules placed fifth in season 20, and others, such as Sean Lowe, Joe Amabile, Trista Sutter, and Nick Viall, placed sixth in their respective seasons.

Trista was in the very first season of The Bachelor, where she was the runner-up. She had the leading role in the inaugural installment, and she was also in Dancing With the Stars season 1. Nick, who made appearances on The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise, competed in season 24 of the prestigious dance competition. Although he ultimately wasn't victorious, his performances were definitely memorable. Several The Bachelor alums have been on DWTS, but only Melissa Rycroft, Hannah Brown, and Kaitlyn Bristowe have successfully won the Mirror Ball Trophy.

The Bachelor Alum Melissa Rycroft Was On DWTS

Melissa was the first contestant from The Bachelor to win the dance show, and her victory really didn't come easy. She was the winner of the dance series during her second DWTS appearance. She was paired with Toni Dovolani both times (first, in 2008, and then in 2012). Melissa was in The Bachelor season 13, and tried to win the affection of Jason Mesnick, but she wasn't successful. According to The List, Melissa was not expecting a DWTS win against opponents like Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough, but she did beat them.

Former The Bachelorette Lead Hannah Brown Appeared On DWTS

Hannah won the Mirror Ball Trophy in 2019, during season 28 of the dance competition. She was paired with Alan Bersten, and their win was quite the shock, considering the critiques that they received throughout the season. Hannah clinched the win after a heartbreaking finale as the lead of The Bachelorette season 15, where she called off her engagement to Jed Wyatt.

Kaitlyn Bristowe From The Bachelor Won DWTS Season 29

Kaitlyn is the most recent winner from The Bachelor. She won the dance series in 2020, on season 29, making it the second consecutive win for Bachelor Nation. She made an appearance on The Bachelor season 19, and The Bachelorette season 11. Kaitlyn has a good background in dance, with her mom being a ballerina, and has been dancing since childhood. Therefore, her win didn't come as a huge surprise. She won the prize with her partner Artem Chigvintsev, although it wasn't smooth sailing, as she sustained an ankle injury, and got her fair share of criticism.
