CCP Games launched EVE Anywhere today, a cloud-based platform based on Intel technology, which will revolutionize accessibility to their hit spaceship MMO EVE Online. This comes very soon after EVE Fanfest 2022 teased the company's new roadmap full of development and expansion. Though EVE Anywhere was previously limited to only premium Omega account users while in beta, the platform is now widely available for EVE Online players in the USA and select European territories. It will become available in additional territories later this year.

Intel and CCP Games worked closely together on EVE Anywhere to ensure that pilots can command their fleets through Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari on any desktop or laptop computer. CCP will then remotely access powerful computers through the cloud. Through this method, EVE Anywhere removes the barrier of hardware limitations and opens up the MMO’s iconic adventures to new audiences - redefining both the accessibility and pace of the game. From now on, anyone can play anywhere as long as they have wifi access, seamlessly switching between web browsers and the EVE Online launcher.

The European beta version of the platform saw an overwhelmingly positive reception last year, with  more than 11,000 users across the globe streaming approximately 86,000 sessions in EVE Anywhere since August of 2021. In order to improve the cloud experience and guarantee user satisfaction, CCP took valuable community feedback throughout the beta prior to today's full-scale launch of EVE Anywhere.

As Bergur Finnbogason, EVE Online’s Creative Director, explained in a statement:

EVE Anywhere was incredibly well received by those testing it in beta over the past year. We truly appreciate you Capsuleers who tried it out and shared invaluable feedback to help us improve the experience. Thanks to all of your help, we’re finally ready to get EVE Anywhere into your hands, no matter your browser preferences.

This important announcement from CCP Games is sure to drive new players to the already popular game. They already opened their doors to different audiences when they partnered with Doctor Who in January of this year, and the addition of this new cloud-based platform shows a commitment to furthering the experience of new players everywhere.
