HBO has added a few cast members to the roster for Euphoria's highly-anticipated second season, including Minka Kelly (Friday Night Lights), Dominic Fike, and Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr. Created by Sam Levinson, the first season of Euphoria introduces a group of teens who struggle navigating the complexities of relationships, drugs, identity, and the overall trials and tribulations of the high school experience in today's world. The series was critically acclaimed for its creative cinematography, compelling storytelling, and notable acting. Zendaya took home an Emmy for her lead role in the show, working alongside a handful of other talented actors such as Maude Apatow, Hunter Schafer, Sydney Sweeney, and Jacob Elordi.

THR recently reported that Kelly, Fike, and Flenory Jr. would be joining Euphoria's already impressive cast list. While the extent of their roles in the show haven't been revealed, there is some speculation about the type of characters the newbies will play. As per THR, it's speculated that Kelly will a play pill-popping suburban housewife and Flenory may be a romantic interest for Maddy. While some viewers may be familiarized with Kelly's acting chops in Friday Night Lights, Fike and Flenory are better known for their space in the music world.

Euphoria's first season was a refreshing taste of loaded, meaningful content for younger, yet more mature audiences. While shows like MTV's Skins may have grazed the surface of darker teen material, there had yet to be anything quite as impactful as Euphoria. Since the COVID-19 pandemic put a halt on production, it's been two summers since the show's original premiere in June 2019. Given that filming only started in 2021, fans will need to remain patient as more details regarding season 2 and its release date are still somewhat under wraps.
