The official Euphoria season 2 blooper reel shows off the lighter side of the typically dark and dramatic Emmy Award-winning HBO series. After various delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and two special episodes to hold fans over, Euphoria returned to HBO for a second season at the start of this year. After concluding in late February, Euphoria season 2 had launched the show to new levels of popularity, becoming the most tweeted-about show of the decade and the second most-watched show in HBO history behind Game of Thrones. The series is currently up for a slew of Emmys, including Outstanding Drama Series.

The great Zendaya leads the Euphoria cast alongside an abundance of rising stars such as Maude Apatow, Angus Cloud, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Barbie Ferreira, Storm Reid, Hunter Schafer, Sydney Sweeney, Javon Walton, Austin Abrams, and Dominic Fike. After her relapse during the Euphoria season 1 finale, the second season picks up three weeks after the Winter Formal and finds Rue struggling mightily with her sobriety. Considering its very serious subject matter, Euphoria's tone tends to be incredibly dark with only occasional moments of comic relief. Season 2 truly exemplified this, as Rue's relapse was somewhat offset by Lexi's wildly entertaining school play.

Now, five months after it finished airing, HBO has released the official Euphoria season 2 blooper reel on the show's YouTube channel. The video shows off the Emmy Award-winning series' lighter side, which is a breath of fresh air considering how serious it tends to be. Watch the gag reel below:

One standout moment from the Euphoria season 2 blooper reel includes Zendaya and Schafer cracking up during the Brokeback Mountain scene, with the Rue actress losing it at her scene partner's delivery of her lines with a Southern twang. Also, Zendaya and Schafer understandably failed to contain their laughter during the Ghost scene, another one of Euphoria season 2, episode 4's movie homage moments. Another movie-related blooper involves Cloud flubbing the title of Stand By Me as "Lean On Me." Clearly, this is a cast that knows how to have some fun.

Other highlights from the Euphoria season 2 gag reel include Cloud giving Apatow's character his actual phone number during a scene, Demie putting on a British accent, and Zendaya struggling to get out of a trash can. Other than being amusing, these bloopers reveal how even the Emmy-winning Zendaya or the Emmy-nominated Sweeney are not immune to the occasional gaffe. With Euphoria season 3 looking like it could be a ways away, season 2's blooper reel and other extras will have to hold fans over for the time being.
