The visual style of the show furthers into the characters and their personalities as they define themselves by their clothing. While some try to hide in the background with their outfits, others embrace their quirks by highlighting them with their wardrobe. All this being said, the clothing choices in the show are part of the reason it's so fun to watch.

Chris McKay

McKay usually wears sporty outfits since football is a huge part of his life, but he also likes to dress up to see Cassie. His general style is casual and he often puts on neutral masculine tones like beiges and warm blues.

Though McKay rushes a fraternity, is friends with Nate and plays football, he's an extremely sensitive person who cares deeply about people. The warmth of his clothing also symbolizes this side of him and his ability to feel and connect with people, emotionally.

Rue Bennett

Rue in Euphoria at the fair

Rue's style is subdued and shows how much drugs and her addictions have taken over her life. She wears muted colors and outfits that are more androgynous. She only really does her make up for special events, but it's always done in a way that's not meant to be perfect or pretty.

It's messy just like her. Rue is a complicated person and she tends to hide with her clothing choices. She hides her feelings about Jules and her addiction as it benefits her. Rue tries not to express herself with her appearance, but, in doing so, she says so much more about what lies underneath her fake smile.

Ali

Ali's faith is what helped him in his sobriety and his clothing reflects that, especially in the Rue special, which has many of his most memorable quotes. He wears a shirt that resembles a Shalwar Kameez, a typical Muslim garment and a Kufi, which also has importance in the Muslim religion.

Ali always gives good advice to Rue and even though she doesn't believe in any God, he finds a way through to her without leading with his belief. As a character, Ali represents hope for Rue and the importance of a higher cause or a reason to live in the face of an addiction.

Fezco

Fezco has a calming presence and he's extremely understanding. His clothing, on the other hand, is bright and happy. He loves to wear complex patterns and has a skater boy aesthetic overall. While his clothing portrays a fun-loving side of Fezco, he has a tough life.

Fezco's style is cool because he it features creative street wear that makes him stick out from the crowd. Not to mention, it's designs are as intricate and detailed as the man himself. He's a thoughtful person at heart and his clothing shows that.

Nate Jacobs

Nate from Euphoria in the rain

Nate, one of the most intelligent characters, can be controlling, and his wardrobe shows his nature with its hard and solid color choices and with his pristine upkeep of his clothing. He stays in dark, masculine colors and never dresses in anything that doesn't align with his identity.

Nate, at his center, is an insecure and angry boy, and his clothing is a perfect mask for him to fit in with society without being revealed as the person he truly is. His style is timelessly classic while staying in tune with his bad boy nature.

Lexi Howard

Lexi in Euphoria talking to Rue

Lexi tends to stay out of the normal drama in the world of Euphoria and her clothing further proves this. She dresses in clothing that was popular in the early 2010s, showing she's a little behind on the fashion scene and the social drama. Also, unlike most girls during Halloween, she chose to dress as Bob Ross rather than a cute animal or an angel.

Lexi is comfortable with herself and relatively well adjusted. Her clothing choices echo her security in who she is and what she does. Though she sometimes misses out on the fun parts of the social scene, she stays out of trouble. Her clothing shows that she's a little out of touch, but one of the most stable and loyal characters in the series.

Cassie Howard

Cassie's style captures her innocent mindset as she often wears light pinks, blues or whites with frilly lacy details. She also loves to emphasize her assets with her outfits, which also adds to her character who is both innocent, yet sexualizing herself for the love that she wants.

Cassie just wants to be loved and her young looking clothing shows that she doesn't know exactly how to attract what she wants. She wants intimacy, but she also wants to be cared for. Her wardrobe reveals one of Cassie's main weaknesses which is that she wants fatherly love, but tries to recreate through sexual attention.

Kat Hernandez

Kat's style changes quickly in the first season of Euphoria, from blending in with others in subdued prints to wearing full on harnesses in class, matched with black and red clothing. Her dominatrix side hustle makes her feel sexy and she recreates the power it gives her with her leather and fishnet clothing.

Kat's sexual liberation gives her the confidence to be herself and to dress how she wants to, even if it can be intimidating. Her clothing throughout the rest of the season emphasizes her love of sexual liberation and power.

Maddy Perez

Maddy dressed up in Euphoria

Maddy, who has the most iconic quotes of Euphoria, has a style that is a more grown up version of her pageant clothing from when she was a kid. She loves glitter, glam and basically anything purple. She wants to represent herself as both mysterious and feminine, which is part of why purple is such a staple in her wardrobe.

This color choice also can signify royalty and it blatantly shows how she sees herself in her school setting and daily life, which is as one of the most popular girls in school. Maddy's mood affects her clothing greatly, but, most of the time, she dresses in a way that shows both her vulnerability and confidence all in one ensemble.

Jules Vaughn

Jules at the fair in Euphoria

Jules, who some fans often feel bad for, has one of the most eccentric styles of Euphoria which consists of bright pastels, unpredictable and colorful make up and fun accessories that don't always have to match her outfits. Jules clearly loves dressing very femininely, but she still adds some edge to her outfits with platform boots, chains or even fishnet stockings. Her outfits draw on some serious 90s nostalgia.

As far as defining her style, Jules knows exactly how she wants to look and she evokes a feeling of ethereality every time she appears on the show. She doesn't care about not fitting in because she loves herself and everything that makes her different.
