With an acting career spanning nearly 30 years and covering all sorts of genres, Salma Hayek is a veritable Hollywood legend. Though she's known for her roles in 90's tent-poles like From Dusk Till Dawn and Desperado, she's also appeared in recent blockbusters like The Hitman's Bodyguard. With her MCU debut coming up in the form of 2021's The Eternals, there's no better time to take a look at her many films, both great and not-so-great.

Though the film performed poorly at the box office, it received generally positive reviews for its stellar casting and eccentric wit; it currently holds an 83% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

WORST: Fled (1996) - 16%

1996's Fled stars Laurence Fishburne and Stephen Baldwin as two feuding prisoners who attempt a daring prison break while chained together as punishment. Hayek appears in a supporting role as Cora, a woman who helps them escape.

While the film's star power won over a few critics, many saw the writing as poor and the plot as cliche. Currently, the film has a score of just 16% on the Tomatometer.

BEST: Sausage Party (2016) - 83%

Seth Rogen's raunchy, R-rated animated comedy Sausage Party follows a group of foodstuffs who attempt to escape a supermarket after hearing of their inevitable fate as edibles. Hayek appears as Teresa Del Taco, a taco shell who develops an infatuation with Brenda, a hot dog bun played by Kristen Wiig.

The film's dirty humor and absurd tone won over critics, and it currently has an 83% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

WORST: Fair Game (1995) - 12%

The action film Fair Game follows police officer Max Kirkpatrick and lawyer Kate McQuean, as they get caught up in a case involving the KGB. Hayek cameos as Rita, Kirkpatrick's ex-girlfriend.

The film received largely negative reviews from critics - and a Rotten Tomatoes rating of just 12% - for its cliche storyline and lackluster writing; it was also a box office bomb, making just $11 million against a $50 million budget.

BEST: The Pirates! Band Of Misfits (2012) - 86%

The stop-motion animated comedy The Pirates! Band of Misfits follows a rag-tag group of pirates (including the deadly Cutlass Liz, played by Hayek) whose captain attempts to win "Pirate of the Year" despite his bumbling incompetence.

WORST: Grown Ups (2010) - 10%

The gags didn't seem to strike a note with critics, and beyond comedy, there wasn't much the film could do to earn a "fresh" rating; it currently has just 10% on the Tomatometer.

BEST: Puss In Boots (2011) - 86%

A spin-off of the Shrek franchise, 2011's Puss in Boots follows the titular fencing feline (played by Antonio Banderas), as, alongside the shrewd Kitty Softpaws (played by Hayek), he attempts to save his hometown from a cataclysmic event.

The film was praised by critics for its wit, humor, and performances; it currently has an 86% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, none too bad for an animated film aimed at children.

WORST: Grown Ups 2 (2013) - 7%

2013's Grown Ups 2 follows the continued misadventures of the five "grown-up" friends from the first film.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have been much funnier than its predecessor, as Rotten Tomatoes reports that just 7% of critics liked it. However, it made enough at the box office - nearly $250 million - to generate buzz for a possible sequel.

BEST: Traffic (2000) - 93%

While Salma Hayek wasn't credited for her role in the 2000 crime thriller Traffic, she does make a small appearance in the film as Rosario, the mistress of an ambitious drug lord.

Despite not having a big impact on Hayek's career, the film - helmed by genre titan Stephen Soderbergh - ended up as a critical and commercial success, earning more than $200 million at the box office, winning four Oscars, and receiving a stellar 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

WORST: Some Kind Of Beautiful (2013) - 6%

The 2014 rom-com Some Kind of Beautiful stars Hayek and Jessica Alba as two sisters who fall in love with the same man, an English professor played by Pierce Brosnan, although their individual ideas of how the relationship should work are very different.

A film marred by writing too poor for its big-name talents (and a storyline that barely passes the Bechdel test), Some Kind of Beautiful received negative reviews from critics and scored just 6% on the Tomatometer.
