WWE is set to release a new interactive film on Netflix called Escape the Undertaker. Escape the Undertaker will see wrestling legend The Undertaker setting traps in his mansion for the members of the tag team group The New Day, including Xavier Woods, Big E, and Kofi Kingston. WWE Studios has been producing films since 2002, with their first release being 2003's The Rundown starring Dwayne Johnson. Since then, they have made films with various other wrestlers like John Cena, Kane, Steve Austin, Edge, and The Miz. However, even with a lengthy filmography, Escape the Undertaker will be their first interactive film.

As reported by Bloody Disgusting, Escape the Undertaker will utilize an interactive formula that allows viewers to choose how the story plays out. Netflix has had success releasing interactive films in the past. Black Mirror: Bandersnatch and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs the Reverend both offered audiences the chance to make decisions for the characters, and the story is able to change based upon those choices. Now, WWE fans will get to have the same unique experience with some of their favorite wrestlers as they help The New Day navigate supernatural challenges in The Undertaker's extreme Haunted House.

The Undertaker, aka Mark Calaway, recently announced his retirement from the WWE, but it's clear that he still has a good working relationship with the wrestling organization. If Escape the Undertaker is successful, The Undertaker could easily find himself in further WWE film projects down the line. The same can also be said for the members of The New Day, though they are still active in the WWE. Audiences will get to experience the interactive horrors of Escape the Undertaker when it premieres on Netflix on October 5th.
