Escape Room survivors Zoey and Ben try to take down the sinister Minos corporation in Escape Room: Tournament of Champions, but instead they find themselves trapped with a new group of players, once again being forced to play a game for their lives. Escape Room 2's new cast members include Holland Roden and Indya Moore, with Taylor Russell, Logan Miller and Deborah Ann Woll returning from the first movie.
As the title suggests, Escape Room: Tournament of Champions' new twist is that all of the participants are people who have previously survived one of Minos' sadistic escape rooms. When Zoey and Ben go to New York City with the intention of finding Minos headquarters and proving the company's history of murder and torture, Minos is already one step ahead of them. And if the elaborate system of puzzles wasn't already strange enough, this time around the escape rooms seem to be telling a story.
With six players and plenty of ways to die, not everyone is going to survive to the end credits - but everyone has to play the game. Here's a guide to the cast and characters of Escape Room: Tournament of Champions.
Taylor Russell as Zoey Davis
One of only two survivors from the original Escape Room, Zoey has found herself unable to let go of her experience, and is determined to expose Minos for murdering her fellow players. Zoey was picked for the original game because she was the sole survivor of a plane crash in which all of the other passengers, including her mother, were killed. Though she's no longer the timid girl she once was, Zoey still has a sharp mind that's perfect for solving puzzles under pressure. Taylor Russell is also known for playing Judy Robinson in Netflix's Lost in Space reboot, and Emily in the acclaimed 2019 drama Waves.
Logan Miller as Ben Miller
Picked for the previous escape room because he was the sole survivor of a car crash that killed all his friends, Ben has cleaned up his life since surviving the events of the first movie. He would prefer to let sleeping dogs lie and move on with his life, but he's persuaded to go to New York by Zoey, since she saved his life and he feels indebted to her. Ben ends up paying a heavy price for his loyalty when he's thrown into a second maze in Escape Room: Tournament of Champions. Logan Miller voices Sam Alexander a.k.a. Nova in the animated series Ultimate Spider-Man and Guardians of the Galaxy, and played Benjamin in The Walking Dead.
Holland Roden as Rachel Ellis
Chosen for a previous escape room game because of her unusual medical condition, Rachel is cool-headed under pressure and ends up taking the lead on many of the new puzzles that Minos presents her and the other players with. Holland Roden is also known for playing Lydia Martin in MTV's Teen Wolf and Zoe in Channel Zero: Butcher's Block.
Indya Moore as Brianna Collier
A social media influencer and travel blogger who previously survived a round of escape rooms with other influencers, Brianna has been left both physically and psychologically scarred by her ordeal. Indya Moore is best known for their role as Angel in the FX series Pose, and also played Peggy in A Babysitter's Guide to Monster-Hunting.
Carlito Olivero as Theo
Another survivor from a previous game who has been ensnared by Minos once again, Theo is motivated by a determination to get back home to his wife. He has to wear a hearing aid as a result of going through an escape room that ruptured his eardrums. Carlito Olivero is also known for playing Davis Jimenez in Step Up: High Water and Eddie in East Los High.
Thomas Cocquerel as Nathan
A priest who was recruited for a Minos escape room alongside five other priests, Nate suffers from survivor's guilt and has turned to alcohol to numb his pain. When he finds himself going through another series of nightmarish puzzles, he seeks absolution by risking his own life to help the other players. Thomas Cocquerel is also known for playing Ryker Desai IX in The 100 and Huck in Table 19.
Deborah Ann Woll as Amanda Harper
One of the unlucky players from the first Escape Room movie, Amanda Harper returns in Escape Room: Tournament of Champions via newly-shot flashback footage. Deborah Ann Woll is also known for playing Jessica Hamby in True Blood and Karen Page in Daredevil.
