Erika Jayne took a serious social media jab at Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star Garcelle Beauvais over her new book. This shade comes days after the RHOBH season 12 trailer premiered, showing a tone of strife among the cast. Amongst the many things teased in the preview was a feud between Garcelle and Erika.
According to the trailer, RHOBH season 12 will continue focusing on Erika's legal woes. The singer has been entangled in the fallout of estranged husband Tom Girardi being exposed for fraud. While the tv personality maintains her innocence, some believe she knew more about Tom's actions than she claims. In the trailer, Erika accused Garcelle of trying to make her look bad. In response, the Spider-Man: Homecoming actress told Erika, "I don't have to make you look bad, you do that on your own." This comes after Garcelle slammed Erika's lack of sympathy for Tom's victims. Now Erika is firing back on social media by trashing her co-star's new book.
On Sunday, April 10th, Erika posted a video on her Instagram stories directed at Garcelle. The Instagram Story showed her literally trashing Garcelle's new book, Love Me As I Am. After throwing the book into a trash can, Erika also put the lid over it. She captioned the video by writing, "@Garcelle, even though you unfollowed me, I'm sure you'll see this," along with a gif of Oscar the Grouch. This referenced the Coming to America star admitting she unfollowed her cast mate back in February. The shady story was captured by the Instagram gossip account TheRealityRundown. It captioned the video, "Chileeee AFTER buying the book, #ErikaJayne took to her story to film herself throwing #Garcelle’s book in the trash…" Erika left a comment on that post, claiming that she "never purchased" the book. She concluded her comment by writing, "Moving on." Many commenters speculated that she was likely just sent a copy.
Even though she clarified she didn't buy the book, individuals in the comments section weren't thrilled by her shady action. Many comments called her behavior "tacky" and "childish." Other comments quoted Garcelle's shade from the trailer, saying this Instagram story proved her right. The critical comments section represents how many Housewives fans now feel about her. Though Erika still has many supporters, defenders, and fans, her actions regarding Tom's fraudulent activities seemingly made many viewers and co-stars turn against her after she reportedly showed little empathy and even made merch surrounding her lawsuits.
Judging by comments about this Instagram post, it's likely that the majority of fans will be on Garcelle's side of the feud this season. This isn't the only co-star that the "Xxpensive" singer isn't getting along with. In addition to teasing the feud between the two actresses, the RHOBH season 12 trailer also showed what appeared to be Erika yelling at Crystal Kung Minkoff.
Season 12 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is set to premiere on May 11th.
