Adult Swim officially renews The Eric Andre Show for season 6 after a two-year hiatus and reveals a roster of exciting guest stars. Created and hosted by the eponymous comedian, the sketch series acts as a parody of low-budget public-access talk shows as André and co-host Hannibal Buress, who left in season 5 due to personal reasons and was replaced by James Hazley's Blannibal. The Eric Andre Show sees André frequently messing with celebrity guests by delivering surreal questions and behavior while also featuring a number of bizarre candid camera sketches, including the "worst show on televisionBird Up!.

First premiering on Adult Swim in 2012, The Eric Andre Show has seen a number of both actual celebrities and impersonators appear on the show, some of whom have included a faux George Clooney, Tyler the Creator, Chance the Rapper, Ryan Phillippe, Seth Rogen, Jack Black, Dolph Lundgren and Jimmy Kimmel. The series has received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike for its bizarre sketches, effective lampooning of low-budget public access TV and André's outrageous performance. The Eric Andre Show has aired five seasons and two extended specials and now fans of the series are getting exciting news for its future.

After nearly two years since the show last aired, Adult Swim has confirmed that The Eric Andre Show has been renewed for season 6. Playfully titled season 666, the new season is being touted as "the leanest and meanest yet" and will find the titular host "ripped, oiled up, tanned and ponytailed" as teased in the new image seen above. See what Andre said about the renewal below:

“Expect more deranged pranks, fire, and chaos in Season 666 with a jam-packed schedule of celebrities I can’t believe agreed to this."

In addition to announcing the renewal, Adult Swim has also revealed some of the celebrity guest stars audiences can expect from The Eric Andre Show, including Russian Doll's Natasha LyonneFamily Matters' Jaleel White, Raven-Symoné, Waka Flocka Flame, Lil Nas X, Cypress Hill and Jon Hamm. The new season of the series will once again be helmed by Kitao Sakurai, who André also recently partnered with for the hit Netflix hidden comedy Bad Trip, as well as Jeff Tremaine, who produced Bad Trip and directed André in the acclaimed Jackass Forever. One of the most exciting reveals to come from The Eric Andre Show season 6 renewal for fans of the series is that the show will air on both Adult Swim and HBO Max in 2023, a full three years after season 5 came to a close.

It is interesting to note that the Eric Andre Show season 6 renewal announcement doesn't specify whether Blannibal will return to co-host with the eponymous host or if Hannibal Buress will get back in the chair. With Jon Hamm set to guest star in the series, it could point towards Buress coming back given the two co-starred in the 2018 comedy Tag, though with the comedian having also felt his time to leave the show had come due to his age, it's just as likely Buress will watch Hamm's guest appearance along with general audiences. While audiences await its return, they can catch up with the first five seasons of The Eric Andre Show streaming on Hulu now.
