Enola Holmes 2 has shared three first-look images showing off the return of Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill. The original Enola Holmes film, which was based on the first novel in the young adult series of the same name by Nancy Springer, released in September 2020. The film stars Bobby Brown as Sherlock Holmes' (Cavill) younger sister, Enola, who sets out to solve the disappearance of her mother (Helena Bonham Carter).

The film was originally meant to be a theatrical release, but after the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Netflix purchased the distribution rights from Warner Bros. Now, Netflix is continuing the sasfa with this new sequel, which will re-team Cavill, Bobby Brown, Carter, and their co-star, Louis Partidge. The cast of Enola Holmes 2, the plot of which is still largely under wraps, has also added Gabriel Tierney, Hannah Dodd, Abbie Hern, Serranna Su-Ling Bliss, and Wonder Woman villain David Thewlis.

Today, EW shared an exclusive set of first-look images from Enola Holmes 2. They show a glimpse at what the returning cast is up to, including Enola Holmes running from the police and investigating what may be a map with Sherlock and Tewkesbury. A third image also provides a first look at new cast member Sharon Duncan-Brewster as a currently unknown character who is tied with Enola's newest case. The publication also shared that the official release date for the film has been set for November 4, 2022. Check out the images below:

These new images might not reveal much about Enola's new investigation or the Enola Holmes 2 plot, but they do tease a lot about how the dynamic of this new film is going to play out. For one thing, they see Enola taking to the bustling streets of London in a way she hasn’t had the opportunity to do before. Given the titular heroine seems to be being chased by police, it's possible that Enola goes back on the run in the sequel film. Likewise, the image of Sherlock and Enola together shows that her older brother views her as much more of an equal this time around, as she has already had the chance to prove herself able to match wits with the legendary sleuth.

A lot of new material is rolling out all at once for Enola Holmes 2 this week. Considering these images dropped following Netflix's premiere of the film's teaser just one day ago, it's likely that fans will be getting an Enola Holmes 2 trailer before very long. Although there are still a few months to wait before the film's release, the streaming giant is putting its all into promoting the Millie Bobby Brown-led film after her recent starring role for the service in one of its biggest hits, Stranger Things. Given that, Netflix will likely have a whole heap of teases on the way over the coming months for Enola Holmes 2.
