The Russo brothers have shared a quick video showing Brie Larson's first day on the set of Avengers: Endgame. Larson officially made her MCU debut with last year's Captain Marvel as Carol Danvers after being hyped up in the post-credits scene of Avengers: Infinity War. However, Larson actually played the character for the first time while filming EndgameCarol ended up having a smaller role in Endgame, but it proved to be a vital one in the final battle against Thanos (Josh Brolin). As one of the key members of Marvel's Phase 4, Carol will next appear in 2022's Captain Marvel 2, provided she doesn't make any cameo appearances anywhere else. When it comes to Marvel, anything could happen.

Sunday marked the one-year anniversary of Endgame, the massive and epic conclusion to the decade-spanning Infinity Saga. Not only did it fix what was broken in Infinity War, the film also served as the final adventure for the original six Avengers. Now that most have left the MCU or are expected to within the next few years, the franchise is turning to its newer heroes to carry things forward. The first film in Marvel's Phase 4, Black Widow, will arrive in theaters in November, while the MCU will make the move to Disney+ with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier in August.

Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo opted to participate in a live watch party of the film, and, as expected, they've offered some interesting behind the scenes tidbits. One of those tidbits is that Larson's first day on set was the scene where Carol and most of the remaining heroes traveled to space in search of Thanos. The directing duo even shared a quick video of Larson walking onto set and being greeted by Scarlett Johansson. See it for yourself below:

It's always fun to get peeks at the behind the scenes process on Marvel movies, and fans have been granted several looks over the past few days. For example, during a similar watch party for Infinity War, co-screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely shared a photo of Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) wearing Iron Man's (Robert Downey Jr.) armor. This little video of Larson walking onto set for the first time is a nice glimpse at what went on behind the camera in making the highest-grossing film of all time (for now).

Captain Marvel might've had limited screentime in Endgame, but her time in the MCU is just beginning. It's strange to imagine a future where characters like Iron Man and Captain America (Chris Evans) won't be around, but it's safe to say the MCU is in good hands. As for the next major crossover event, The Avengers 5 is still a long ways off. It's a good thing Endgame was satisfying enough to sustain fans for a while.
