Fans spotted Bruno making a sly appearance in the background during "We Don't Talk About Bruno," but he may have appeared in Encanto much earlier. Bruno Madrigal (John Leguizamo) is an enigma early on in Encanto. Mirabel (Stephanie Beatriz) doesn't know much about her mysterious uncle, except he disappeared and could predict the future. However, she learns about him during the song "We Don't Talk About Bruno," hearing that his predictions brought calamity, rainy wedding days, and dead fish. Mirabel later discovers her uncle secretly living in the house's walls, and she learns the stories about him were wildly exaggerated.

Interestingly, viewers think Bruno even appears during "We Don't Talk About Bruno." During Dolores' (Adassa) part of the song, Mirabel's cousin sings about hearing Bruno in the house "muttering" and "mumbling." And in the background, a Bruno-like figure appears with a green glow around him. Recognizing that song is catchy, he even dances along. While the figure could be Camilo (Rhenzy Feliz) disguised as Bruno, it's still a worthwhile Easter egg to spot while watching.

Though Bruno appears in the background during "We Don't Talk About Bruno," viewers may have now spotted another Easter egg, showing the character appearing much earlier. After introducing the Madrigals through "The Family Madrigal," Mirabel enters the magical house with supplies for Antonio's (Ravi Cabot-Conyers) gift ceremony. When she enters the house, fans (via Reddit) pointed out that there appears to be a crouching figure on the second level of Casita. This seems to be an earlier Bruno Easter egg. He was simply on the second level of the house, watching the family prepare for the new gifting ceremony.

It makes sense that Bruno would want to be a part of family events. Though Bruno has lived in the house's walls for a decade, he uses a makeshift dinner plate to pretend he's still part of family dinners. And when Mirabel discovers he's been hiding in the walls, he tells her he left because his gift wasn't helping. But he added, "I love my family, you know?" Still, the Easter egg is a surprise. If it is Bruno, the moment is a much more subtle nod to the character long before the movie revealed his tragic backstory. Therefore, the Easter egg is more for viewers rewatching the film than those watching it for the first time.

The oddest thing about the Easter egg is that none of the Madrigals knew Bruno was hiding. Dolores claims to hear Bruno in the house, but she doesn't do anything about it. And his family members are apparently shocked when he finally rejoins them at the end of the movie. But if Bruno popped out of the walls frequently for ten years to check on family events and steal food from the kitchen, the Madrigals should've probably noticed him in Encanto. But then again, the family doesn't talk about Bruno. So even if they did see, maybe they wouldn't say.
