Lucien Laviscount, the British actor who portrays Alfie in Netflix's Emily in Paris, will be returning to season 3 of the show as a series regular. Following the success of season 2, Netflix renewed its rom-com series starring Lily Collins for two more seasons. The show follows Emily, an American woman who moves to Paris for work, but finds love and a whole lot more along the way.

Netflix has announced that Laviscount will be returning to Emily in Paris season 3 and he will be upgraded to a series regular. Laviscount plays Alfie, a London banker who enters a relationship with Emily. However, she's still grappling with her romantic feelings toward her downstairs neighbor Gabriel (Lucas Bravo).

The show is set to begin production on its next set of episodes this summer, Netflix also announced. Emily in Paris ended its second season with a major cliffhanger. First of all, Emily must decide whether to quit her job and stay in Paris or return to the comforts of America. Not only that, but Alfie is returning to London and Emily must decide whether she'll want to continue their relationship long-distance.

It seems like with Laviscount being upgraded from a recurring character to a series regular that his character's relationship with Emily is far from over. However, season 2 ended with Emily nearly confessing her love for Gabriel, only to have his girlfriend Camille (Camille Razat) answer the door. Emily in Paris is sure to continue with this convoluted love triangle, and Alfie's character will seemingly have even more of a focus than he did during his debut season.
