Tolkien (2019)

Tolkien is a biographical drama revolved around famed author J. R. R. Tolkien. In the movie, Collins plays Tolkien's longtime love and the inspiration of many of his beloved characters, Edith Bratt.

When Tolkien's mother passes away, he's placed in a wealthy woman's home where he meets Edith. Liz meets Ted as a newly single mother but is quickly enamored by him when they start dating and he helps take care of her young daughter. But as time goes on, the number of murders goes up and Bundy is a prime suspect. Liz is grief-stricken and doesn't believe the news. She stands by him while he's in jail until it's too much to bear. Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile shows the effects Bundy's murderous behavior had on Liz's life, along with where it takes Bundy and his life after Liz.

Okja (2017)

Okja tells the tale of a genetically modified super pig named Okja. The movie had a star-studded cast that included Ahn Seo-hyun, Tilda Swinton, Paul Dano, Steven Yeun, and more.

The movie is based in Korea and follows a young girl named Mija who does everything in her power to protect her dearest super pig friend, Okja. When Okja is taken from her family farm to be destroyed, Mija goes on a global rescue mission. Collins portrays a woman named Red who's a part of the ALF and fights for the rights of Okja.

To The Bone (2017)

To The Bone was an open and gutting film about a girl named Ellen (Collins) and her battle with anorexia. The drama released on Netflix in the summer of 2017.

When Ellen becomes too sick to attend college, she drops out and is put in a treatment facility with other young women and men. While in the program, Ellen struggles to gain weight but is inspired by friend Luke. Viewers learn about Ellen's backstory and how her relationships with her family had affected her. The film received positive reviews and showed how far Lily Collins would go for the role. Like her character, Collins also suffered from an eating disorder and was under a watchful eye throughout the film to lose weight in a healthy way.

Rules Don't Apply (2016)

Rules Don't Apply is set in Hollywood in the late '50s. Collins plays Marla Mabrey, a Hollywood hopeful who can sing, dance, and act. Marla is set to do a string of auditions for film mogul Howard Hughes and is personally driven to her auditions and classes by a Mr. Frank Forbes. As time goes on, the relationship between Marla, Hughes, and Frank gets tainted and drama ensues.

Although Collins was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role, the film only grossed $3.5 million against an almost $30 million budget.

Mirror, Mirror (2012)

Starring alongside Julia Roberts, Armie Hammer, and Nathan Lane, Collins played Snow White in Mirror, Mirror. The modern-day fantasy tale told the iconic story of Snow White and received mixed reviews. Julia Roberts starred as Snow's evil stepmother and Armie Hammer played her knight in shining armor, Prince Andrew.

Collins was nominated for Choice Movie Actress in a Sci-Fy Fantasy genre at the Teen Choice Awards.

The Blind Side (2009)

The Blinde Side was one of the world's best movies in 2009. Sandra Bullock struck gold as Leigh Ann Tuohy, taking home six awards (including a Golden Globe, a SAG, and an Academy Award). The movie was a biographical drama revolving around NFL player Michael Oher's youth. After growing up in a broken home and having nothing to live for, he's taken in by the Tuohy family who gives him a new chance at life. Michael ends up thriving under their care and getting to college before being drafted in the NFL.

In the film, Lily Collins played Leigh Ann's daughter, Collins Tuohy, who becomes the adoptive sister of Michael Oher.

Stuck In Love (2012)

Stuck In Love is a romantic comedy that focuses on the complexities of love and relationships in a family dynamic. Collins plays teenager Samantha Borgens who is thrown for a loop by her parent's divorce. She moves in with her dad and brother when her mom moves in with her new boyfriend. As a newly broken family, they go through personal ups and downs to find love for each other again. The independent film didn't go great in box offices but has positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.

Love, Rosie (2014)

Love, Rosie is a film based on the book Where Rainbows End by Cecelia Ahern. Collins plays Rosie Dunne, a woman with big dreams of opening her own hotel one day but gets thrown off track when she gets pregnant at a young age. She goes through some of life's biggest ups and downs with her buddy Alex but the two have a complicated relationship filled with lingering feelings. As life goes on, the relationship between these two becomes complicated, but they're always by each other's side. The movie was incredibly charming and well-received.
