Eliza Dushku, who got her start as a child actress, played the memorable role of Faith in Buffy the Vampire Slayer; after the show's end, the actress went on to contribute to a few memorable roles in both film and television.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer ran for seven seasons from 1997 to 2003. After the show was over, the stories of many beloved characters from Joss Whedon's show continued via a series of comics from Dark Horse. In 2020, news of a rebooted series from Monica Owusu-Breen (Midnight, Texas) surfaced. While Joss Whedon was the show runner of the original series, Owusu-Breen is spearheading the reboot with Whedon serving as an executive producer along with others who were involved with Buffy the Vampire Slayer before. Many of the actors involved with Buffy the Vampire Slayer in both major and minor roles have gone on since the show ended to take parts in film, television, voice acting, and beyond.

Eliza Dushku, who played the rogue Slayer, Faith Lehane, off and on since season 3 had an acting career before her days on Buffy. Faith debuted in season 3, had a small part in season 4, and then returned in season 7; she was also a recurring character on the spin-off series, Angel. Faith's journey continued after the series finale in 2003 in the comic books, which chronicled her constant struggle with staying on the right side instead of letting her darker instincts and impulses control her, as they did throughout the show. Dushku primarily focused on various television roles - both major and minor - but has worked outside of television as well. Here's what the actress has been up to since Buffy the Vampire Slayer ended.

What Eliza Dushku Did After Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Eliza Dushku and the Cast of Dollhouse

Right after Buffy the Vampire Slayer ended, Dushku starred as Tru Davies in the show, Tru Calling, which was about a young woman who could re-live a day to solve murders. As a morgue attendant, Tru was in no shortage of cases to solve, and the supernatural element of Tru Calling was equal parts Happy Death Day and standard police procedural dramas. Dushku also lent her talents to voice work for video games such as Wet and Saints Row 2.

In 2009, Dushku teamed up with Joss Whedon again to take the lead role of Echo in his Fox series, Dollhouse. As Echo, Dushku was able to play different characters in nearly episode, as the series revolved around "dolls", who were blank personalities that could be programmed to fill any number of roles for wealthy clients. Dollhouse ran for two seasons until 2010. In 2013, Dushku played the voice of She-Hulk in Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. In 2016, Dushku had a recurring role as Veronica Dawson on the TV series, Banshee. In 2017, she had a part in the CBS procedural drama, Bull, which starred Michael Weatherly (NCIS) as Jason Bull. Dushku's role on Bull brought to light her experiences with sexual harassment on the set, and she stepped forward with accusations regarding Weatherly; CBS settled with Dushku for $9.5 million.

Though her acting career hasn't been active since 2017, Dushku has established herself as a political and social activist through her role with organizations such as THRIVE-Gulu, which helps the survivors of war and child soldiers in Uganda. Whether or not she'll return to acting remains to be seen, but the actress certainly left a memorable mark on not only the Whedonverse, but the world of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and is still dear to the fans of the series over twenty years after her debut as Faith.
