The Daedric Horse in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is a stunningly designed Mount that perfectly pairs with the mighty Dragonborn fully outfitted in Daedric Armor. To obtain this steed of Oblivion, players will need to have the Creation Club add-on The Cause installed to their game. Owners of the Skyrim Anniversary Edition will already have access to this community-made DLC.

The Mythic Dawn has made its way to Skyrim and is attempting to open an Oblivion Gate in hopes of spreading chaos across the land. Elder Scrolls fans must travel to this organization's location and put an end to their malicious schemes. The Cause adds several new dungeons to the game, including an entire region of Oblivion, where players can find the unique spell to summon a Daedric Horse in Skyrim. To embark upon this quest, players will need to be at least Level 46. Once this level requirement has been reached, the courier will approach the player with a letter from someone named Skorvild.

After reading the letter, the Dragonborn of Skyrim must make their way to meet Skorvild at a Shrine of Stendarr, located north of the giants' Sleeping Tree Camp. Upon arrival, the player will learn that Mythic Dawn assassins have killed Skorvild. Slay these enemies and loot their corpses to find a note, which will mark the following quest location, a camp west of Ivarstead. After taking out the hostiles within the campsite, Skyrim fans will find written orders leading to Varlais Cavern, a cave slightly to the south of Arcwind Point. The dungeon within Varlais is massive and full of Mythic Dawn members and Draugr. It is recommended for players to clear their pockets before entering as the area has an enormous amount of loot to pick up.

Skyrim Daedric Horse Quest and Location Guide

The winding corridors of Varlais Cavern, including its lengthy puzzle for Skyrim players to solve, may make the dungeon quite perplexing to get through. To ensure fans don't lose their way, make sure to follow the walkways up to a waypoint, as simply jumping down to an objective may confuse as to where a room's exit is. After defeating Norion, the Undying boss, players will learn of the Oblivion Gate's location, to the north of Riften. Before entering the Mythic Dawn's lair, players should consider wearing a looted set of Mythic Dawn's robes as it will save them from the many hostile encounters up to the portal.

After walking or fighting through the Mythic Dawn cultists, players will reach the Oblivion Gate guarded by a boss mage named Vonos. He is the most challenging opponent enemies will face on this quest, so players need to be well-prepared with Skyrim potions and Fire/Magic-Resistant gear. Once Vonos has been defeated, players can head through the portal and into Oblivion. Players will find several enemies within the realm, including a Daedric boss. To obtain the spell tome for summoning the Daedric Horse Mount, be sure to open every lootable container in the area, such as The Punished plants. Once players find the spellbook and learn the spell, they will be able to summon and ride their Daedric steed whenever they please.
