The incredible character customization suite in Elden Ring is apparently so detailed that it can create the Teenage Mutant Ninja TurtlesElden Ring has become one of the most popular and widely-acclaimed releases of 2022, taking the early lead for many pundits' Game of the Year award. Praised largely for expanding on FromSoftware's legendary Soulslike gameplay, the character creation in Elden Ring has also been a point of praise.

In Elden Ring, players are able to create their own warrior, known as Tarnished, who seeks to restore the titular Elden Ring. The player is able to choose from one of five possible classes, but they are also able to edit and customize their character's appearance in incredible detail. As a result, Elden Ring players have, predictably, begun sharing their unique creations. Some have shared creations that look like Dark Elves or aliens, but others have modeled their character after classic characters from fiction. Most recently, one character shared their Elden Ring character that was modeled after Ross Gellar from the 90s television show Friends. While creating television characters in video games isn't anything new or groundbreaking, several players have taken that trend in a new and unique direction.

Two Redditors, users reverse_caveman and Badelord each shared their takes at recreating two members of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Leonardo and Raphael. Even though the Raphael recreation doesn't feature the character's typical Sai, instead equipping him with Wolverine-type claws, the two creations are still incredibly accurate. Both creations feature the turtle shell on the character's back and the green-toned skin of a turtle, and both have their color-coordinated headbands. Fans on Reddit were quick to heap praise onto both creators.

Even though neither creator was able to make their character into an actual turtle-human hybrid, their creations were both incredibly detailed given the tools given to them by Elden Ring's character creation suite. This feature is just one of the many within Elden Ring that make the game's characters and world feel so alive. Players can create and re-shape their Tarnished throughout their playthrough, morphing them to fit their aesthetic and playstyle.

While it may seem silly to some that players would spend their time in Elden Ring creating the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, rather than exploring the vast game world, these efforts clearly seem to be popular with other players. As other gamers begin second and third characters to explore Elden Ring in a different manner, getting inspiration for a new character is always appreciated. And, if one wants to create Donatello and Michaelangelo to complete the team of Turtles, it would probably be quite popular.
