One of the most deadly Spells for both PvE and PvP in Elden Ring is the Swarm of Flies, a Blood Incantation that spawns a horde of homing bloodflies that deal damage to a target while inflicting blood loss. Scaling off of Faith and Arcane, this Incantation can be further enhanced by equipping the Dragon Communion Seal, as the Sacred Seal also scales with the same stats in Elden Ring. While the Swarm of Flies cannot one-shot enemies or Invaders like other overpowered Spells, it can potentially deal massive damage over time. It can be an exceptionally effective distraction to execute other attacks during PvP or decimate bosses weak to Hemorrhage.

The location of the Swarm of Flies Incantation is the Mohgwyn Palace, a high-level underground region below Caelid. There are two primary ways to get the Mohgwyn Palace in Elden Ring. First, Tarnished adventurers can complete the questline of White-Faced Varré, the first NPC whom the protagonist will meet on their journey at The First Step Site of Grace. At the end of his story, he will give the player the Pureblood Knight's Medal, which can be used to access the Mohgwyn Palace in Elden Ring.

The second method of reaching the Mohgwyn Palace is by entering a Sending Gate located near the western cliffs of the Consecrated Snowfield, the west half of the Mountaintops of the Giants. This area is unlocked by defeating Morgott and collecting the two pieces of the Haligtree Secret Medallion, which is used at the Grand Lift of Rold to activate a hidden pathway. Once Tarnished travelers arrive in the Consecrated Snowfield, they must head to the west and defeat an NPC Invader named Sanguine Noble to use the portal to the Mohgwyn Palace.

Those who use the Sending Gate will arrive in a cave tunnel near the Palace Approach Ledge-Road Site of Grace. Next, to find the Swarm of Flies Incantation, adventurers must head down the trail to the north and into the blood-red lagoon in Elden Ring. Be mindful of the group of Albinaurics that guard this path. Enter the second cavern on the right and reach the end to obtain the Spell from a corpse.

As mentioned above, the Dragon Communion Seal is an optimal Sacred Seal to pair with the Swarm of Flies in Elden Ring. Tarnished travelers can find this armament within the Fringefolk Hero's Grave, the Dungeon next to the Stranded Graveyard Site of Grace.
