Elden Ring mods may have peaked in a video that reskins almost every creature in the game, culminating in an epic battle with Homer Simpson against Shrek and his mighty steed. The latest game developed by FromSoftware continues to entertain fans and stay relevant thanks to its massive world and countless items and abilities to discover. Elden Ring has become the best-selling game of the year only weeks after its release. While millions of fans are enjoying what the game has to offer, plenty have begun developing mods to add even more to the already massive game.

The latest open-world adventure from the developer of Dark Souls and Bloodborne easily contains hundreds of hours' worth of gameplay. But the vast and challenging world of Elden Ring has already seen mountains of content added to it thanks to the very active mod community. Modders have changed and added a lot to previous FromSoftware titles, and Elden Ring is no exception. One mod makes the game more challenging, while others have allowed players to summon Elden Ring bosses to help them in difficult battles. These mods have changed the way many players are enjoying the game, but a new video shows how chaotic and hilarious Elden Ring mods can get.

A new mod transforms Elden Ring's characters and creatures into hilarious memes, resulting in an epic battle between Homer Simpson and Shrek with his trusty steed, Donkey. Youtuber ToastedShoes posted a video showcasing the mod, which was created by content creator and modder Garden of Eyes. The video below stars Homer Simpson as Elden Ring's main character as he battles through the game's tutorial, which is now a cave infested with evil Elmos and angry Pepe frogs. Once Homer leaves Elden Ring's first cave, the scope of the Elden Ring reskin mod truly reveals itself. Animals and enemies throughout the entire game have been changed into characters originating from series like Sonic The Hedgehog, Kingdom Hearts, My Little Pony, and many other popular memes. Although the video is said to be only part one of the modded Elden Ring adventure, it finally answers who would win in a fight: Homer Simpson or Shrek.

The video's creator, ToastedShoes, did not create the Elden Ring mods. He credits the talented modder who specializes in Soulsborne mods, known as Garden of Eyes. This isn't the first time the modder's work has caught the public eye; Garden of Eyes was previously recognized for stating an incredible rematch between two of the game's most visually striking bosses, recreated in-game thanks to another Elden Ring mod. The modder's Youtube channel contains many Soulsborne bosses battling each other.

Modders find new and creative ways to enjoy games, and this new video shows what a talented one can do only weeks after a game's release. Elden Ring is said to take hundreds of hours to play through if fans are looking to discover everything, but if modders can already create extra content for the game in this short amount of time, it is exciting to think about what they will be able to add to Elden Ring in the future.
