One of the most potent Spells in Elden Ring is Terra Magicus, a must-have Sorcery for any mage, especially those running the one-cast-kill build. Terra Magicus places down an arcane sigil, which buffs all magic damage from any source by 35% for 30 seconds. Such a Spell will become incredibly advantageous in combat for spellcasters with allies or Spirit Summons to aggro a boss or high-HP enemy in Elden Ring. However, keep in mind that the Sorcery's effect will only be applied to those within the sigil's radius and will not be maintained if the caster is not present.
To acquire Terra Magicus, Tarnished must complete a Dungeon known as the Academy Crystal Cave, a grotto located beneath the western cliffs of the Raya Lucaria Academy. Naturally, this endeavor requires that the player reach Liurnia of the Lakes, the region north of Limgrave. To enter Liurnia, adventurers must either defeat Godrick of Stormveil Castle or traverse the secluded mountainside path north of Stormhill.
After entering Liurnia, Tarnished must make their way to the Site of Grace at the Temple Quarter, south of Glintstone Dragon Smarag's lair. From here, ride north and stay near the bottom cliffside of the Academy. Adventurers will soon reach the entrance of the Academy Crystal Cave, which costs Stonesword Key ×2 to enter. The first portion of the cavern is quite dark, so players are advised to equip a Torch or Lantern before venturing further.
Terra Magicus Sorcery Location In Elden Ring
The Academy Crystal Cave is full of Raya Lucaria Sorcerers lurking in the darknesses. While their Spells are easy to dodge, Tarnished can become quickly overwhelmed when being fired at with projectiles from multiple directions. Therefore, those only focused on acquiring Terra Magicus should rush past the Sorcerers and into the Dungeon boss's lair. Starting from the Site of Grace, travel down into the tunnel until reaching an area with water. Run past the group of huddled Sorcerers and immediately turn right at the next corner. Continue onward until reaching a wooden door. The next room is guarded by two enemies, one of which is much stronger than the average Raya Lucaria Sorcerer. The following area is the Academy Crystal Cave's boss room.
The Dungeon boss is a duo of Crystalians, one wielding a spear and another with an arcane staff. Crystalians are highly resistant to damage until they lose a portion of their HP. Therefore, it is recommended Tarnished have some form of physical or blunt damage to take them down. Once the Crystalians have been defeated, head through the chamber and up the tower above the Academy Crystal Cave. Climb the ladder to the rooftop to find a chest with the Terra Magicus Sorcery Spell in Elden Ring.
