The Siofra River is a serene subterranean location found beneath Limgrave, and like other regions in Elden Ring, the Siofra River requires a Map Fragment Key Item to become visible on the player's map. To enter the underground zone, the Tarnished must travel to the Siofra River Well, located northeast of the Mistwood Ruins and far east of the beginning Site of Grace, The First Step. After arriving at the Well, use the lift inside to descend vertically in Elden Ring into the subsurface depths.

After the rather lengthy elevator ride, players will arrive in Siofra River and can activate the Site of Grace at the entrance. Some spots are dimly lit within this area, so Tarnished are recommended to hold a torch if they have trouble seeing where they're going. From the lift, go down the path on the left of the initial ruins. Stay near the wall and continue progressing forward. Players will encounter several enemies along the way, but it is easy to hurry past them on Torrent. Ahead, players will notice a waterfall with an entrance on the right. Head up the stairwell and activate the lift using the lever on the right.

After the elevator finally arrives, ride it up to Siofra River's next level. From here, travel up the creek while picking up the various materials in Elden Ring along the way. After going a bit further, players will enter an area with gorgeous constellation-like scenery. Before advancing on, take a moment to use the Site of Grace sitting to the left of the path.

From the Site of Grace, Tarnished will notice a stairway in the distance lined with pillars. Head towards the stairs to find a lootable corpse leaning against the first pillar on the right. Take the glowing item to receive the Siofra River Map Fragment. With this Key Item obtained, Elden Ring fans will now be able to see the entire underground map of the Siofra River.

Among the pillars on the stairwell near the Map Fragment, players will notice that only one post is lit with a flame in Elden Ring. These pillars are connected with altars across the map of the Siofra River, and once they have all been kindled, the Ancestor Spirit boss fight will become accessible. As players explore the area for these flame pillars, they should be mindful of the dangerous archers scattered across the environment, as they can quickly take down any unaware Tarnished.
