The Rain of Arrows is an Ash of War Skill in Elden Ring that Tarnished can acquire by finding the Redmane Painting vista near the Minor Erdtree in Dragonburrow, Caelid. Usable on all bows, the Rain of Arrows will have Tarnished archers nock back their bow, aiming for the heavens. After firing, a volley of arrows will rain down upon a small radius, dealing continuous damage in Elden Ring for a brief duration.
The location of the Redmane Painting is in Sellia, Town of Sorcery, east of the Aeonia Swamp in central Caelid. To find this painting, enter the town from the southern gate and continue down the main road until reaching a rot-ridden tree arching over the path. Look to the right to find the Redmane Painting atop a pile of rubble, hidden beneath a small balcony. However, be wary of the invisible Raya Lucarian Sorcerers roaming the streets of Sellia.
After examining the painting, travel to the Minor Erdtree in Dragonburrow, the sub-region of northern Caelid. Tarnished travelers can reach this location by crossing the Farum Greatbridge from the north or following the highway from Dragonbarrow West. Since both routes are guarded by dragons, adventurers looking to avoid confrontation can travel to Lenne's Rise in the east. Near the tower sits a Sprirtspring Jump, where Tarnished can launch themselves onto the western cliffs leading to the Minor Erdtree.
How To Get The Ash Of War: Rain Of Arrows
A Putrid Avatar will be guarding the base of the Minor Erdtree become hostile if Tarnished get too close. Therefore, it's recommended adventurers either take the beast down before exploring further or sneak past by crouching or using the Unseen Form Spell. From the southern side of the tree, walk towards the large pot sitting near the V-shaped ledge. Travelers will notice a thick root jutting out from the cliffside below. Carefully positioning oneself from the southwestern ridge, drop down onto the platform below. The player will likely take damage, but the fall shouldn't kill Tarnished, especially those at a high Character Level.
Next, cautiously drop onto the branches and stone structure below. The player will encounter a gap where the tower pathway has been broken. Mount Torrent and jump over this gap and then leap down onto the final branch stretching towards the ground. A slumbering Golem will be lying nearby, but it's best to ignore it unless they want a challenging fight. Instead, go near the southern ledge to find a ghost that will drop the Ash of War: Rain of Arrows.
