Elden Ring has received a new patch that has made Starscourge Radahn stronger by removing some of the nerfs he endured in the last update. Starscourge Radahn is a difficult Elden Ring boss that gave players a lot of trouble at launch, but he was weakened in one of the post-launch patches for the game.

The Starscourge Radahn battle gives the player several NPC summons that they can call on for aid. The player will need all the help they can get, as Starscourge Radahn can fire powerful magical arrows from a distance, use his massive swords to strike with attacks that have a huge AoE, perform a diving attack that turns him into a meteor, and summon a torrent of magical orbs that strike the player. Starscourge Radahn may have been a bit too strong in FromSoftware's eyes, as he took a hit in strength. The 1.03 patch for Elden Ring nerfed Starscourge Radahn, reducing the strength and hitboxes of attacks by a noticeable degree.

It seems that some of the changes made with Starscourge Radahn were unintentional. The official Bandai Namco website has announced that an update has been released to the 1.03 patch for Elden Ring. This update rolls back some of the changes made to Starscourge Radahn, as the power of some of his attacks had been unintentionally reduced.

The Elden Ring patch notes are frustratingly vague regarding Starscourge Radahn's changes, but fans are already testing him out and it seems that his attacks are stronger, but the hitboxes are still smaller, and the other changes have remained. This version of Starscourge Radahn is now the third version of the fight to exist, starting with the brutal launch version of the boss and followed by the nerfed version in the 1.03 patch.

The Elden Ring fanbase wanted the nerfs reversed and they have partially received their wish. The Soulsborne fans who struggled against Starscourge Radahn at launch and eventually overcame him didn't appreciate how he was weakened in an update, as new players won't experience the same challenge as they did. It's still possible to play the launch version of Elden Ring by installing it without updates, but this also means being unable to use any of the online content, as the game needs to be fully updated in order to use the multiplayer. Elden Ring is still a work in progress and it's likely to receive more tweaks in the coming weeks, and it's possible that Starscourge Radahn will receive even more changes in the future.
