Elden Ring provides players with a great variety of unique-looking equipment sets, but none more so than the Mushroom Armor Set. This unique armor consists of three body pieces and two helms and boasts a great deal of resistance against most of the game’s adverse conditions. It is particularly effective at defending against poisons and scarlet rot as it sports the highest Immunity defense stat out of all other sets in the game. The Mushroom set completely covers the player with mushrooms and fungus, making it one of the most unique-looking armor sets in Elden Ring.

To get this armor set, players will need to have with them two Stonesword keys. These items are used to unlock certain areas in the game by breaking the imp statue seals that bar the way. Players can start the game with two Stonesword keys as their Keepsake, loot them in several places in the Land Between, or buy them from various merchants such as the Twin Maiden Husks for 4 000 runes.

Getting this armor set will also require players to first access the Altus Plateau region, either by going through the Ravine Veiled Village or by acquiring both halves of the medallion used to active the Grand Lift of Dectus in Elden Ring. Players can find the left half of the medallion in Fort Haight, in eastern Limgrave, and the right half in Fort Faroth in Caelid should they choose to go that route. If they wish to go through the Ravine Veiled Village, they will instead have to fight a boss, Magma Wyrm Makar.

Although the Mushroom Armor Set is mostly found together in one location, the heavier helm, the Mushroom Crown, is actually found in the underground area of Lake of Rot. This area is accessible via the Ainsel River Main, which itself can be reached by using a portal atop Renna's Rise or via the Ainsel River Well elevator in the Liurnia of the Lakes region of Elden Ring.

From the Lake of Rot Shoreside Site of Grace, players must proceed southeast through the lake until they reach the end of the cave. There, they should see some ruins and several Basilisks. Players should be able to find a toppled column behind those enemies that they can use to climb atop the ruins on their right. They can then proceed to the top and jump onto the pillar with a body hanging from it to find the Mushroom Crown.
