A Faster Respawn mod for Elden Ring has reduced load times after death and during fast travel transports to sites of Grace. Elden Ring mods of all kinds have inundated the web in the weeks since the title's launch in late February. Some prove of practical use, allowing players to pause the game or transmog their gear at leisure. Meanwhile, other fan-made PC mods kick things up a notch by significantly increasing the difficulty, letting users summon boss characters as friendly allies, or transforming Tree Sentinels into Thomas the Tank Engine-inspired behemoths.

FromSoftware's first attempt at an open-world Souls adventure, Elden Ring comes packed with plenty to enjoy. It's chock-full of mandatory boss fights that progress the story, along with optional boss battles that only the most observant of users will ever stumble across. Everything in between warrants special attention as well, including missable side content starring incredibly fascinating NPCs and the mysteries surrounding them. As such, there are times when, despite the already fast loading, players simply want to jump back into the world of Elden Ring a little quicker.

Over on Nexus Mods, xxdarki (via Wccftech) uploaded a Faster Respawn mod for Elden Ring on PC, which functions exactly as the title suggests. The mod description notes that Faster Respawn "removes the elapsed time after 'YOU DIED' text appears on-screen;" as a result, players should notice a reduction in respawn times of roughly three to four seconds. One of the mod's users, CallMeHidden, added in a Nexus Mods comment that Faster Respawn also decreases the time of loading when traveling between sites of Grace and booting up the experience from the main menu.

It is worth mentioning that fans interested in Faster Respawn will have to play in offline mode with Elden Ring's use of Easy Anti-Cheat disabled. Still, this seems like a mod that many an Elden Ring user will want to try out for themselves at least once, especially if it proves to be as transformative as CallMeHidden's comment on Nexus Mods suggests.

Despite launching over a month ago, Elden Ring remains the talk of the town. It should come as no surprise, then, that FromSoftware and publisher Bandai Namco are eager to expand the property into other mediums of entertainment. And given how quickly the title sold through 12 million units, reason suggests more interactive adventures in the Lands Between will eventually hit the market, as well.
