Meteorite of Astel is a Gravity Spell in Elden Ring that sends 5 glowing meteorites out from the void and onto the battleground, flying toward the enemy at high speed and exploding upon impact. It is unlocked by entering the Yelough Anix Tunnels, south of the Elden Ring Yelough Anix Ruins, in the western part of the Consecrated Snowfields area of the map. Players should note, that this is an endgame area and the player must progress through the Main Story to unlock it.

After reaching Yelough Anix Tunnels, players will make their way into the tunnel entrance and fight through a mineshaft until they reach a large wooden door. Past the wooden door will be a boss battle, Astel, Star of Darkness. After defeating Astel, Star of Darkness, players will be rewarded with the Meteorite of Astel.

This Gravity Spell requires 55 intelligence and costs 60 FP on initial use, but the usage time can be extended by holding down the attack button. Meteorite of Astel deals approximately 700-900 damage per projectile or Meteorite, at level 150 depending on stat distribution. It is recommended to use the Meteorite Staff in Elden Ring with Meteorite of Astel as its passive ability will strengthen all Gravity Sorcery.

Players should also drink a Mixed Physik with the Cerulean Hidden Tear before using Meteorite of Astel in Elden Ring. As the Cerulean Hidden Tear will give players 15 seconds of unlimited FP Usage. This will allow players to continuously use Meteorite of Astel to rain down dozens of meteorites over a wide area directly in front of them.

While Meteorite of Astel is a very powerful spell, it does have its downsides. This spell is very inaccurate at hitting enemies and trying to land every meteorite is near impossible unless the enemy is very large. As for big groups of enemies, it also has the same problem dealing damage due to its inaccuracy and random meteor placement.

Meteorite of Astel in Elden Ring makes up for some of these downfalls with a fast cast time of approximately 3 seconds and one hit of invincibility on startup, players should use Meteorite of Astel at safe distance and preferably while enemies are unaware of the player’s presence. One strategy is to use the spell against large bosses while they are distracted by a summon or staggered. Meteorite of Astel is one of the highest damaging spells, but its effectiveness is overlooked by many other spells with lower stat requirements and FP costs.
