The Sorceress Sellen in Elden Ring is an early character you will meet in Limgrave after defeating a mini-boss called the Mad Pumpkin Head. This boss guards Sellen's home at the Waypoint Ruins, who needs to be defeated if they want to meet the Sorceress. After completing this prerequisite, you can find Sorceress Sellen at the back of the cellar. Speaking to her will let you learn how to cast long-range spells and more about Spellblade classes. However, there is a problem that is not made apparent right away.

When you interact with Sorceress Sellen, she will reveal that she can teach you more about sorcery. To learn this new skill, you must accept Sorceress Sellen's offer to begin the questline. This questline will involve finding Master Lusat, amongst other tasks, until she reveals that her current form is only a projection. Sorceress Sellen will then task players with freeing her physical form from imprisonment in a cellar at the Witchbane Ruins.

Before you can find Master Lusat, you will need to defeat a boss called Radahn. Defeating this boss is necessary to continue Sellen's storyline and eventually free her. Much like any other boss in Elden Ring, you will need to bring the best weapon in Elden Ring to beat Radahn easily.

Defeating Radahn can be difficult! Check out our Starscourge Radahn Boss Fight Guide for a full breakdown of the best way to complete this battle.

Sorceress Sellen's physical form is shackled in the Witchbane Ruins. Players can find the Witchbane Ruins on the Weeping Peninsula south of the Fourth Church of Marika Site of Grace. Reaching the Weeping Peninsula in Elden Ring can be made easier by unlocking some more powerful spells from Sorceress Sellen.

Once you have defeated Radahn, you can go looking for Sorceress Sellen's physical form, located on the Weeping Peninsula south of the Fourth Church of Marika Site of Grace. You can reach this area by traversing or unlocking some more powerful spells from Sorceress Sellen. Once you reach the Witchbane Ruins, you will find a staircase that leads into the cellar of a decrepit building. Head downstairs and go towards the end of the cellar. You will find Sorceress Sellen's physical form chained to a wall. Talk to Sorceress Sellen to receive Sellen's Primal Glinstone as a reward.

If you've tried to free Sellen's physical form earlier in the game, you can restore her back to normal by praying at the Church of Vows.

After you receive Sellen's Primal Glinstone, you will be tasked with finding another form of Sellen different from her Witchbane Ruins and Limgrave versions in Elden Ring. First, you must head to Ranni's Rise, a nearby set of ruins just to the northeast of the entrance to the cellar. Between the arches is an illusory floor that can be opened to reveal a staircase.

Next, head down the staircase and open the illusory wall at the back of the cellar to reveal another Sorceress Sellen. When you speak with Sellen, you will be prompted to give her Sellen's Primal Glinstone to progress further in her questline.
