Elden Ring has officially gone gold, which means that there won't be any more delays and that it will hit its February 25 release date. Elden Ring was delayed from its original January 21 release in 2021, so many suspected that more delays were on the cards, especially with the pandemic still affecting video game production around the globe.

It was revealed on EldenRingUpdate Twitter page (via IGN) that Elden Ring has gone gold and will not face any more delays. This announcement was made during an Elden Ring event at the Tapei Game Show. The term "going gold" means that the master copies of a video game are being developed, so that it can enter mass production. This is only done when a final version of a video game is ready to be released. The video game in question might not exactly be in a polished state, as many developers release a hefty day one patch to fix issues present with the retail version of the game that is being sold in stores, so fans might have to sit around and wait for a while longer after putting their disc in the system.
