The Four-Toed Fowl Foot is a crafting item in Elden Ring used for making the Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot and Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot. The Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot increases the drop rate of items from slain enemies, while the Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot boosts the Runes gained. If players wish to craft either of these Recipes, they must acquire Missionary's Cookbooks [2] and [3].

Missionary's Cookbook [2] is held by Patches and can be bought at Murkwater Cave, and Missionary's Cookbook [3] is located on a corpse at the Smoldering Church.

Out of three ingredients required to craft the Pickled Fowl Feet in Elden Ring, the Four-Toed Fowl Foot can be the most challenging to procure since the item is only obtained from mob drops, specifically the penguin-shaped Guillemot and Eagles. While Eagles can also be used to farm Four-Toed Fowl Feet, this guide will focus on Guillemot farming locations specifically, as their drop rates for feet are much higher.

Earliest Four-Toed Fowl Foot Farm in Elden Ring

A Tarnished sits atop their steed, Torrent, and looks over Elden Ring's region of Limgrave, with the golden Erdtree towering from the horizon.

In Elden Ring, Guillemot inhabit the beaches and cliffs near bodies of water and can most commonly be found in Limgrave. Hunting them will reward players with Flight Pinions and their Four-Toed Feet. However, the Four-Toed Fowl Foot drops at a noticeably lower rate than the feathers, making it tricky to farm, especially if players don't know where to look. Fortunately, there are three great farming spots in the Lands Between where players can quickly hunt Guillemots for an efficient Four-Toed Fowl Foot farm in Elden Ring.

The first and earliest place to farm Four-Toed Fowl Foot in the Lands Between is the western coast of Elden Ring's Limgrave region. As detailed in the YouTube video from Madokon below, players should first reach the Coastal Cave Site of Grace and follow the coastline up to discover groups of Guillemot perched atop ruins and rubble. See the full farming run here:

As noted above, it is recommended players ride atop Torrent while farming Four-Toed Fowl Foot along this route, as it will increase the speed at which players travel along the shoreline.

Best Four-Toed Fowl Foot Farming Locations

Another excellent location to farm Four-Toed Fowl Foot in Elden Ring is the shore northwest of the Fourth Church of Marika in the Weeping Peninsula. Starting from the Site of Grace, players can leap down the cliffside and begin farming the birds until reaching two giant land octopi enemies. Fast travel back to the church and repeat the process.

The only challenge of this Four-Toed Fowl Foot farming method is that players might die from falling if they drop from a spot too high up on the ridge. Therefore, it's recommended players ensure they have enough HP to endure the fall or find a lower ledge to drop from. Using Soft Cotton is also beneficial, but players won't want to do this over and over again if they are wasting such a valuable resource. There is also Elden Ring's Longtail Cat Talisman, which players can use to severly reduce fall damage. Watch this video from Stickybirdpoo on YouTube to see the exact location:

The third-best place to farm Four-Toed Fowl Foot in Elden Ring is a small cliffside near the Impassable Greatbridge Site of Grace in Caelid. Only three Guillemots sit along the ridge, yet they are incredibly close to the Site of Grace, making them an efficient Four-Toed Fowl Foot farm for players equipped with a long-slash attack or AoE ability to clear all the birds at once. Check out Devaster on YouTube devastating some Guillemots with Hoarfrost Stomp below:

With these three locations, farming Four-Toed Fowl Feet in Elden Ring should be a breeze. Players should be mindful to pick up any extra Rowa Berries or fireflies they find while searching for bird feet, as both items will come in hand when crafting the farmed ingredients.

Once players have spent enough time on their Four-Toed Fowl Feet farm of choice, the following two items can be crafted. Remember that Missionary's Cookbook [2] is required for Gold-Pickled Fowl Feet, which boots rune acquisition, and Missionary's Cookbook [3] is required for Silver-Pickled Fowl Feet, which boosts Item Discovery.
