Deeproot Depths is a winding underground system of roots and streams under Leyndell in Elden Ring that can be challenging to navigate through without the region's Map Fragment. As a subterranean zone, Deeproot Depths naturally isn't as expansive as Limgrave or Liurnia of the Lakes yet can nevertheless be an area Tarnished travelers can easily get lost. Therefore, upon arrival into the marshy underworld, it is paramount adventurers know where to find the map piece in Elden Ring.

Before discussing where the Map Fragment of Deeproot Depths is, it is essential to mention that there are two entrances to the subsurface region below the Royal Capital. Depending on which access point travelers take, the route to the Map Fragment is slightly different. First, there's the transporting coffin at the end of Siofra Aqueduct. This area is located north of the Anscetral Woods in Nokron and can be entered by taking a hidden cliffside path near two Jellyfish. However, before boarding the casket transit to Deeproot Depths, Tarnished pilgrims must defeat a duo of Valiant Gargoyles guarding the waterfall. Once the bosses are vanquished, players will ride the sarcophagus to the Great Waterfall Crest Site of Grace.

On the other hand, the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds beneath Leyndell feature an alternate yet more obscure means of entering Deeproot Depths. After defeating Mohg the Omen in the underground Cathedral of the Forsaken, players can find an Illusory Wall that leads to a secluded sea of Merchant corpses. At the bottom of the spiraling abyss, Tarnished will find another Illusory Wall concealing a passageway to the Root-Facing Cliffs of Deeproot Depths. From here, travelers must carefully make their way down to the Great Waterfall Crest to advance to the map piece.

Deeproot Depths Map Location In Elden Ring

Starting from the Great Waterfall Crest Site of Grace, head eastward across the giant branch extending over a massive chasm. The player will need to drop onto another root connected to the opposite cliffside, so be mindful of the potential fall in Elden Ring. On the other side, several flying insects will be guarding a clearing. Stay near the right wall to bypass them and continue east to the Deeproot Depths Site of Grace beside a lone Finger Reader.

Next, trek northward, weaving through the roots into a milky-white marsh. Continue straight ahead through the trees to arrive at an elevated gazebo in the center of a ruin. Lying on the small stairwell of the structure is a corpse with the Deeproot Depths Map Fragment in Elden Ring.
