Eiza González isn't exactly the biggest name in Hollywood yet, but her roles in several of the memorable movies from recent years make her, at the very least, a recognizable figure. Her starring role as Santanico Pandemonium in Robert Rodriguez's Netflix series From Dusk till Dawnbased on his hit film of the same name, catapulted her into the spotlight, and just a few years later she's set to make an appearance in one of the biggest franchises of all time with her role in 2021's Godzilla vs. Kong.

Here are some of the best —and some of the worst—titles in her filmography, ranked according to their IMDb user ratings.

Best: Bloodshot (2020) - 5.7

The 2020 action-thriller Bloodshot stars Vin Diesel in the title role as a Marine who is kidnapped and killed by a group of mercenaries, waking up seemingly moments later to find himself resurrected by a company that uses nanotech to turn injured and disabled humans into powerful cyborgs. González appears as KT, a Navy diver who works for the company as a result of them fixing her damaged respiratory system.

Bloodshot received mixed reviews from critics and currently has a 5.7 rating on IMDb. The film is intended to launch a cinematic universe including stories based on other Valiant Comics properties, with a Harbinger film currently in the works.

Worst: Paradise Hills (2019) - 5.6

2019's Paradise Hills is a sci-fi fantasy following a group of women sent to a strange island known as "Paradise" for behavior-modification therapy. González appears as Amarna, an internationally-famous singer who plans to escape Paradise with the help of her fans.

Paradise Hills received mixed reviews from critics, receiving a good amount of praise for its acting and visuals, but less for its story and direction. It currently has a 5.6 rating on IMDb.

Best: Welcome To Marwen (2018) - 6.2

2018's Welcome to Marwen is a drama/biographical film starring Steve Carrell as Mark Hogancamp, a man who creates his own fictional world after a brutal attack causes him to suffer severe memory loss. His imaginary town, "Marwencol," is filled with characters based on people from real life; his attackers are represented as Nazi soldiers, while his friends—including his restaurant co-worker, Carlala, who is played by González—become members of a heroic team.

Welcome to Marwen received mixed reviews for its story and characters, but currently has a somewhat positive 6.2 IMDb rating.

Worst: Cut Throat City (2020) - 5.4

The 2020 actioner Cut Throat City follows a group of four friends who, in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, are forced by circumstances to pull off a dangerous heist. González appears as Lucinda Valencia, a police detective tasked with catching the criminal quartet.

The film received mixed-to-positive reviews from critics for its directing and action, but more negative reviews from audiences, who saw it as droll and cliched. It currently has a 5.4 IMDb rating.

Hobbs & Shaw received mostly positive reviews from critics for its action, characters, and dialogue, and currently has a 6.4 IMDb rating.

Worst: Almost Thirty (2014) - 5.4

One of González's lesser-known performances was in the romantic comedy-drama Almost Thirty. It follows Emilio, a successful man who realizes his life's not as idyllic as it seems as he approaches the age of thirty. He falls in love with a young woman named Cristina (González), but his dream of being with her is thwarted by his workaholic tendencies.

IMDb reviewers saw Almost Thirty as poorly made and lacking depth, and, although the film did receive some praise for its casting choices, the site's critics currently give it the meager rating of 5.4.

Best: Alita: Battle Angel (2019) - 7.3

The futuristic 2019 manga adaptation Alita: Battle Angel starred Rosa Salazar as the titular cyborg. After being brought back to life by a compassionate scientist, she's forced to grapple with a variety of foes, including González's creepy "killer robot" character, Nyssiana, to uncover the truth behind a massive conspiracy.

Alita: Battle Angel received positive reviews from both critics and fans of its source material for its story, characters, and visual effects, and currently holds a 7.3 IMDb rating.

Worst: She's Missing (2019) - 4.1

2019's She's Missing is a mystery film focusing on a woman named Heidi (Lucy Fry) who treks through the desert to find her best friend Jane (González), a Rodeo Queen contestant who's mysteriously vanished.

Despite both its somewhat interesting premise and its talented cast, the film's multiple cliches and muddled directing confounded critics. It currently has a 4.1 IMDb rating.

Best: Baby Driver (2017) - 7.6

Darling looking to the distance in Baby Driver.

2017's Baby Driver is a drama film about a man named Baby, a music-obsessed getaway driver who tries to quit his life of a crime after meeting and falling for Debora, a kindly waitress who takes an instant liking to him. González appears as Monica Castello, a high-spirited, gun-wielding criminal.

The film received positive reviews from critics for its cast, directing, story, and dialogue, and was nominated for multiple awards. It currently has a 7.6 IMDb rating.

Worst: Jem And The Holograms (2015) - 4.1

A misguided adaptation of the classic television series Jem about a futuristic rock band, 2015's Jem and the Holograms was so bad that it was pulled from theaters just two weeks after being released.

Thankfully, González's role in the film was minor enough—she plays a member of a rival band near the end of the film—that she was spared the embarrassment of being heavily associated with the universally-panned teensploitation flick, which IMDb users currently give a grim 4.1 rating.
