Pokémon Legends: Arceus has a myriad of rare Pokémon for trainers to find and catch early on in the game, including a long-time favorite of many, Eevee. Eevee is undoubtedly one of the most unique Pokémon throughout the entire franchise, as it has eight different evolutions for the same number of typings. Eevee's versatility allows players to find a spot for it across various teams, and fortunately, players can catch one almost as soon as they choose their starter in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Although Eevee's Fairy-type evolution, Sylveon, was unobtainable in the Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl remakes, players can obtain Eevee's eighth evolution in Pokémon Legends Arceus. Finding Eevee in the first place, however, can be a difficult challenge even though it can be obtained early in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Additionally, with an insane amount of luck, players may even be able to obtain an Alpha Eevee near the beginning of their journey.

Players can find an Eevee in the Obsidian Fieldlands by traveling to Horseshoe Plains and searching near the pond on the northern side in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Eevee is one of the many timid Pokémon throughout the game that will run away as soon as it spots a trainer, so players may want to consider increasing their Star Rank level in Pokémon Legends: Arceus before attempting to catch it. Even increasing the Star Rank level to Rank 1 will unlock the recipe for Heavy Balls, allowing Eevee to be more easily captured from behind.

The only way to remain out of sight from Eevee in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is by crouching in the tall grass near the pond. Players will most likely have to throw either a berry or some Dazzling Honey to distract Eevee and make it face the opposite direction. Once Eevee's back is turned away from players, they should throw their Heavy Ball at its back for an increased chance of successfully capturing it. Unfortunately, players will have to take even more precautions with Eevee than they would with some other rare Pokémon, like Togepi in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Eevee will not always spawn every time players enter the Obsidian Fieldlands, which means they may have to leave and come back again. This can be done any number of times, but it does require a bit of patience. Alternatively, if players cannot find an Eevee in Horseshoe Plains they should progress through the game a bit to the Crimson Mirelands. Eevees have a much higher chance of appearing in the Crimson Mirelands Space-Time Distortion areas, which even allows players to obtain multiple Eevees in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
