Following his return in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Charlie Cox's Daredevil is coming back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Echo and is looking for his old pal Jessica Jones. The new Disney+ series will act as a continuation of Hawkeye, which introduced Alaqua Cox's Maya Lopez/Echo to the MCU as a lieutenant working for Kingpin before learning he was behind her father's murder. Echo is set to follow Maya as she returns to her hometown and reconnects with her family, Native American roots and processes her past demons.

Alongside Alaqua Cox, the cast for Echo will see the return of Zahn McClarnon as Maya's late father, Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Devery Jacobs, Cody Lightning and Graham Greene. Rumors swirled for months that both Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio would make their way back into the MCU folds as Daredevil and Kingpin, respectively, with their castings now properly confirmed by Marvel Studios. In a more exciting twist for fans of the Netflix Marvel shows, they may not be the only faces to get official MCU screentime in the near future.

The Hollywood Reporter recently brought word that Charlie Cox is suiting back up again as Matt Murdoch/Daredevil for upcoming Echo MCU show. In the casting report, it was further revealed that his character's story will follow Matt as he is looking for an unspecified former ally. According to reporting from The Weekly Planet podcast, this former ally is none other than Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones.

Netflix's Jessica Jones season 3 ended with Krysten Ritter's titular heroine emotionally rundown after having to send Trish to The Raft and passing the keys of Alias Investigations off to Malcolm, though still electing to remain in New York after almost running to Mexico. Given she chose to stay in her hometown after hearing Kilgrave's voice again, it proves interesting to learn that Daredevil will reportedly be looking for Jessica Jones in the Echo MCU show, raising questions of where she's been in the years since her Netflix series concluded and why Matt is looking for her. With Wilson Fisk's grip on New York being felt again in Hawkeye, one could theorize he is looking for help in bringing Kingpin down once again.

Rumors of Ritter returning as Jessica Jones for the Echo MCU show began swirling earlier this year when the star was seen donning the character's hairstyle once more. Cox himself has expressed his hope in seeing Ritter back in the superhero world with him while the Jessica Jones actress said this past September that she "would absolutely just die" to get back into the shoes of her heroine. While audiences await her possible return in Echo, they can revisit all three seasons of Jessica Jones streaming on Disney+ now.
