Elden Ring has well over 200 bosses, but despite how difficult the game may be, many of the boss fights are easy. Bosses can be encountered all across the Lands Between, such as in dungeons or out on the open field.

There are some, such as the Erdree Burial Watchdog, who appear in multiple dungeons, that make players sigh in relief that they have an easy fight ahead of them. There are bosses like Pumpkin Head that, later down the road, become common enemies in higher-level areas. There are also some unique ones that also serve as NPCs, like the iconic Patches, a unique Elden Ring character, who has appeared in numerous FromSoftware games.

Beastman Of Farum Azula

Beastman Of Farum Azula in Elden Ring.

Elden Ring's Beastman of Farum Azula is one of the early bosses in Limgrave and will be a frequent enemy that players see later when they go to Farum Azula. Its attacks are easy to maneuver around and players should try to get behind the beast as much as possible to land critical backstabs.

Its attacks are also extremely easy to parry for those who use shields. Magic users will have an even easier time with this boss fight. The most difficult thing about fighting the Beastman is its barrage of swipes that can be deadly if the player begins getting hit by them. However, this is really the only powerful attack it has and as long as players are patient, Beastman of Farum Azula, one of the best invasion locations in Elden Ring, should only take one attempt to defeat.

Mad Pumpkin Head

The Mad Pumpkin Head in the Waypoint Ruins Cellar in Elden Ring.

Mad Pumpkin Head really doesn't offer too much difficulty: his one dangerous attack is when he slams his head down on the ground repeatedly. Staying behind him is key, as his head will block most of the attacks thrown his way from the front.

His primary offense comes from his flail, which he'll whip at the player aggressively. The movements aren't as quick as his head bashing and are easy enough to see coming to dodge. Interestingly enough, Torrent can be summoned in this battle, even though it's underground. This makes the boss fight much simpler and allows the player to quickly stay behind him. While this is an easy boss to overcome, discovering the lore of the character may make players feel bad about killing Pumpkin Heads. This is common in Elden Ring, as many bosses have sad lore.

Spiritcaller Snail

The Spiritcaller Snail in Elden Ring.

Spiritcaller Snail can be a fairly deadly Elden Ring boss battle, but as long as players understand how to win, it's a quick victory. The real issue in this boss fight is that it will summon a Crucible Knight.

These knights provide some of the toughest battles in Elden Ring. However, players should primarily focus on seeking out the Spiritcaller Snail to slay it. It'll disappear a couple of times to a different location in the room, but after enough hits, it will die and the knight will disappear. It's best to pay no attention at all to the Crucible Knight because the Spiritcaller Snail will simply revive it stronger than before if the Tarnished kills it.

Stonedigger Troll

Stonedigger Troll in Elden Ring.

Another one of the easiest bosses in one of the best medieval fantasy RPGs is the Stonedigger Troll. This boss will take most players only a couple of minutes to defeat it. While Stonedigger Troll is a massive beast, there isn't much to hit besides his legs. That is the objective, however.

Inflicting enough damage into the Stonedigger Troll's legs (either one) will cause the troll to collapse and allow a few more free hits. The Tarnished can alternatively go to the glowing orange orb on its head to ram its weapon into it and deal a critical hit that will take a large chunk out of its health. This process will take two to three times to perform before the Stonedigger Troll is dead, though it depends on what the player's stats are in this best-selling FromSoftware game.

Crystalian

Crystalian spinning in Elden Ring.

Crystalian is an unusual boss that appears as if it'll be far more difficult than it really is. That's because most of the attacks will bounce off of it and do minimal damage and the most effective strategy is to use charging attacks.

Once enough damage has been dealt, Crystalian will grow far more susceptible to damage and will be killed within a few more hits. Beyond this, the boss is simple to move around and easy to avoid with how slow it is. The only fast attack is when the Crystalian begins spinning in a circle and flies at the Tarnished, the exiled hero of Elden Ring. However, it's still easy to dodge to the side and evade the attack and then run back in to deal more punishment.

Patches

Patches boss in Elden Ring.

Patches is an iconic FromSoftware character that has appeared in most of the Souls games. In Elden Ring, he serves as a boss who cowers and asks for mercy once most of his health is gone. If players aren't careful, they can accidentally kill him if they're too high of a level.

Depending on the Tarnished's level, the real difficulty of this boss is trying to make sure he stays alive, although this is only if they want to keep Patches alive to exact revenge against him for the crimes he's committed against the player in past games. However, he acts as a vendor afterward if he's spared and has a small questline for the Volcano Manor, where players accept assassination missions like the Dark Brotherhood, a similarity that Elden Ring and Skyrim share.

Erdtree Burial Watchdog

Erdtree Burial Watchdog Elden Ring

Players should rest easy every time they see this boss in a dungeon. The Erdtree Burial Watchdog boss appears in a few dungeons with one of them even having two Erdtree Burial Watchdogs to fight at once.

The boss's movements are mostly slow, as it hops toward players and pulls back its sword slowly before it launches it down quickly. There is one movement the boss possesses that will send it into a brief set of rapid strikes, but it's mostly easy to evade. Charged attacks or heavier weapons work best against this boss due to it being made of stone. It can even take enough heavy hits that it'll be stunned briefly and be open to a free critical hit that will likely finish it off.

Tibia Mariner

Elden Ring Tibia Mariner

The Tibia Mariner is where players get Deathroots from in Elden Ring, and they are also one of the coolest bosses in the game, as well as some of the easiest. This boss is an undead sailor who rows its rowboat across ghostly water that follows it. It takes influence from the ferryman of the Underworld in Greek mythology, Charon.

The Tibia Mariners can usually be located near cemeteries and will resurrect dead soldiers to fight for it. These should be avoided as they'll disappear as soon as the Tibia Mariner is killed. The best method is to mount Torrent to ride up to Tibia Mariner and keep aggression on it. Once enough damage is dealt, Tibia Mariner will disappear and reappear at another location in the area. Players should then ride up and continue this strategy on one of the best mounts in video games. While Tibia Mariner can attack the Tarnished itself, its attacks are easily evaded and don't do much damage when they hit.

Guardian Golem

Guardian Golem charging in Elden Ring.

The Guardian Golem is an easy boss who later becomes a relatively common enemy that players will see. This one wields a large battleaxe that has an incredible range, but evading this attack is pretty simple.

Players will want to stay as close to the Guardian Golem as possible and keep up aggression on its legs which deal a lot of damage. It has several slashes and a breath of fire that it'll breathe, but both of these are easy to avoid if the player is close to or behind the Golem's feet. Eventually, once enough damage has been dealt, the Guardian Golem will collapse like the Stonedigger Troll. They can perform one of the most satisfying parts of Elden Ring, one of the most immersive fantasy RPGs, a critical hit that'll likely take off the rest of the boss's health.

Soldier Of Godrick

Soldier of Godrick running in Elden Ring.

The Soldier of Godrick is, by far, the easiest boss in Elden Ring and many players constantly joke online that he is the hardest. The boss serves as the tutorial boss and is about as easy as fighting any normal enemy.

Dodging and back-stabbing are some of the best methods to take Soldier of Godrick down. However, parrying is another effective method that will leave the Soldier of Godrick open to a riposte. He isn't extremely aggressive, so players who are using a magic build can easily fend him off by keeping their distance until he loses all of his health. This boss was designed to be simplistic and easy to help players ease their way into the gameplay of Elden Ring.
