There is so much to do in Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild that it is hard to keep track of it all sometimes. Players can roam the world killing enemies, completing sidequests, or even tackling all of the shrines to gain more health or stamina. On top of this, there are all kinds of items and resources for players to collect throughout the world.

One of the most important things that players will need to collect throughout the world are rupees. Rupees can be used to purchase things like weapons, arrows, or even crafting resources. It is incredibly important to have access to as many rupees as possible in order to pick up as many great items as the player possibly can. This guide will show players how to acquire as many rupees as possible with a few simple strategies.

Breath of The Wild: Easy Rupee Farming Spots

Breath of the Wild Snowball

There are a couple of spots in the game where players can farm rupees really easily. These are locations where players can do the same thing over and over again to easily pick up quite a few rupees. There are also little tricks to these areas that make getting the maximum amount of profit very simple. Here are three such areas:

Lurelin Village Betting- Early on in the game players can go to Lurelin Village to engage in some betting. The game has players bet 100 rupees and then open a chest to get more rupees. If players open the correct chest they could potentially earn 300 rupees. The trick here is that players can actually save their game before selecting a chest and then reload if they don't get the chest they want. Players will just need to keep reloading their save until they get 300 rupees. This is an easy way to get a solid amount of cash.

Pondo's Lodge- One of the best ways to make decent cash in the game though is head over to Pondo's Lodge in the northwest corner of the map. Players will be able to do a small minigame that is a great way to earn some rupees. Players will just need to pick up a ball and roll it down a hill to knock some pins over. If players can knock down all 10 they will be rewarded with 300 rupees. An easy way to complete this challenge is to pick up the ball and stand behind Pando. Players can throw the rock over his head and towards the pins and its almost guaranteed that players will receive 300 rupees.

Gut Check Rock- If players travel a little bit north of Death Mountain, they will find themselves at Gut Check Rock. Here they will find a Goron named Bayge who will give them the Gut Check Shrine Quest. By completing this players will be given 100 rupees, and access to the Super Gut Check Challenge, which can net players up to 300 rupees every, time they participate. Players should make sure they have a lot of stamina for this challenge though.

Breath of the Wild: Other Ways to Pick up Rupees

Breath of The Wild Lynel

Enemy Encampments- A very easy way to get some extra rupees while traveling to the next mission point is to stop at enemy camps and kill all the monsters there. There will almost always be rupees as either a reward for killing enemies or in a chest. The best thing to keep in mind is that enemies drop monster parts that can be sold for cash.

Hunt Strong Enemies- Players can also decide to go up against more powerful enemies like Lynels and Hinoxes. These enemies can be a pain to bring down, but players who manage it will be able to sell the parts from them for a big profit.

Sell Potions- If players find themselves stocked up on a large number of monster parts, they actually have a better opportunity to make rupees than just selling these items. Players can put combine these items at a cooking station while using a recipe to maximize profits. Brave players who have been hunting creatures like Lynels can even combine different parts together to wind up with potions that net them more than a thousand rupees at a time.

Ancient Materials- While Link is out exploring, he will most likely come across the ancient guardians that can be searched to obtain materials. This can also be done by destroying guardians and scouts inside different temples in the game. One of the best places to farm these ancient materials is at Hateno Fort where there are a bunch of ruined old guardians to collect materials from. Once players have these materials they can haul them over to Akkala Ancient Tech Lab to sell for some extra rupees.

Selling Ores- While players are out climbing mountains they will usually come across some black rocks that can be exploded to gain some ores. These range from cheap ores like flint and amber to things like diamonds that will give players 500 rupees when sold. Players can also use ores to get upgrades to their armor, but its a quick and easy way to get rupees in a pinch. Pro Tip: Once players have ten of any kind of ore they can travel to Goron City and find a Gerudo living there named Ramella. Players will be able to sell their ores to here in sets of 10 and she will pay more per ore than any other person in the game.

Amiibos- Those Nintendo Switch players that happen to have a bunch of Amiibos sitting on their shelves gathering dust, can use the little figures to get some exciting boosts in Breath of The Wild. All Amiibos can be scanned in the game once a day to get access to rupees or even resources. Anything players don't want can be traded in for money as well.

Hunt Blupees- While trekking through the Satori Mountains, players are likely to come across these little blue rabbit-like creatures. They don't spawn often, but if players happen to see one while walking around, they should pull their bow out and fire at them. If they manage to score a hit, players will be rewarded with 100 rupees for their trouble.

Grind Dragon Horns- This is by far the most grindy of all of the tips, but is also able to give players tens of thousands of rupees with little effort. The trick is to track down one of the three massive dragons that spawn in the game world. For example, the dragon Farosh will emerge from Riola Spring every single morning. Players can just keep shooting the dragon in the horn to knock of shards that can be collected. Each of these shards can then be sold for 300 rupees apiece. Players can effectively set up camp near the dragon and farm horn shards from it for several days in a row. This can take quite awhile to rack up a huge profit, but those with a lot of arrows and time will find that they will have a small fortune by the time they give up.
