E3 2021's second day promised to be perhaps its biggest, headlined by the anticipated Xbox and Bethesda showcase and bolstered by from Square Enix and Warner Bros. Games events. While the days before featured additional livestreams from companies not officially associated with the E3 expo, June 13, 2021's schedule was dedicated to the long-running conference. Though canceled last year due to COVID-19, E3 made its return in 2021.

As detailed in the official E3 2021 schedule, day two began in earnest with the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase. Since the confirmation that some Bethesda games will be Xbox and PC exclusive after Microsoft acquired Bethesda parent company ZeniMax Media, fans wondered what the two companies would reveal at E3 this year. Rumors pointed to Xbox's Halo Infinite and Bethesda's Starfield, among others games.

Prior to the expo, Square Enix, Warner Bros. Games, the PC Gaming Show, and the Future Games Show joined Xbox on day two's schedule, promising a wide range of AAA and indie reveals. For those who'd like access to certain exclusive aspects of the conference, E3 fan registration is open, though the showcases themselves are all publicly viewable.
