Dylan O'Brien reveals the odd way he is involved in Teen Wolf: The Movie. The film revival of the MTV series will debut on Paramount+ and features most of the show's core cast. Creator Jeff Davis is also back to spearhead the project, which will see Tyler Posey reprise his role as Scott McCall.

The confirmed cast for Teen Wolf: The Movie features some fan-favorites. Joining Posey are Holland Roden as Lydia Martin, Colton Haynes as Jackson Whittemore, Shelley Hennig as Malia Tate, Linden Ashby as Sheriff Noah Stilinski, Melissa Ponzio as Melissa McCall, Dylan Sprayberry as Liam Dunbar, and Tyler Hoechlin as Derek Hale. Crystal Reed will also reprise her role as Allison Argent despite the character's death in season 3, making her return one of the core mysteries of the narrative. One character who won't be back in Beacon Hills, however, is Stiles Stilinski, after O'Brien opted out of the project.

That being said, the actor is still somehow involved in the Paramount+ endeavor, albeit in a less traditional way. Speaking with ExtraTV while promoting his latest project, Not Okay, O'Brien reaffirms that he won't be in Teen Wolf: The Movie. But, he reveals he actually lent the project his own Jeep, which is Stiles' signature ride in the show. Read O'Brien's full quote below:

I'm not in it. My car is. I like gave them... it's like, 'Come and pick up the car from my drive to use it,' which everyone thinks is really funny, because it is really funny. You know, so... I lent them my Jeep. [Laughs]

Scott and Stiles get out of the jeep in Teen Wolf

O'Brien's Jeep is actually the most glaring reference to Stiles in the Teen Wolf: The Movie trailer. Released at San Diego Comic-Con 2022 during the project's Hall H panel, which was attended by Davis and several cast members, the clip also showed the return of Allison for the first time. It's still uncertain what her role will be in the movie, but she appears to be a major character in the narrative, which will lead to an interesting dynamic between her and Scott's Wolf Pack. There was actually some confusion from the presentation regarding O'Brien's involvement after Posey promised the project will see the return of everyone that fans want to see - which would include Stiles. But the Maze Runner actor maintains that he won't be in it.

While O'Brien won't be in Teen Wolf: The Movie, this gesture reveals that he remains to have a great relationship with the cast and crew of the project. This makes Stiles' eventual return to Beacon Hills more possible, especially since Davis says he is planning more stories about Scott's Wolf Pack beyond the upcoming film. In any case, O'Brien has been vocal about wanting to actually do the initial revival but ultimately chose not to after he felt like the project was being rushed.
