In a fascinating new discovery, players have uncovered that Techland's newest post-apocalyptic action-adventure Dying Light 2: Stay Human features a hidden Star Wars Easter egg ability, allowing them to force choke enemies like Darth Vadar. Despite suffering from a troubled development cycle for almost a decade and being delayed twice, Dying Light 2 was officially released on February 4 across consoles and PC. While being mostly favored for its top-notch parkour and traversal mechanics, open-world exploration, and thrilling combat, the title was criticized for its story elements and many of the countless technical issues that deemed it unplayable by many at release.

Set more than 20 years after the original game in an isolated urban city, the zombie-filled Dying Light 2: Stay Human follows freelance runner Aiden Caldwell as he completes jobs for Villedor's citizens to uncover more information about his past. Featuring a freely-explorable world four times bigger than the original, the title also includes more than a handful amount of Easter eggs, secrets, and callbacks to other major franchises. Most recently, a secret level Easter Egg has been uncovered in Dying Light 2 and pays tribute to the popular FPS series DOOM, and diving deeper, it appears that this well-hidden callback hides even more never before seen secrets.

As reported by Game Rant, Youtuber AshesWolf showcased their discovery of what appears to be a well-hidden Star Wars force choke ability in the aforementioned DOOM Easter egg level. Demonstrated in the 10-minute tutorial video, to unlock the blueprint for the ability, players must first unlock the DOOM challenge room which requires collecting five hidden demonic rubber ducks and unlocking the chamber below the map. Once inside the secret DOOM level, a secret slidable wall similar to the older games in the DOOM series can be found that leads to the "Dying Force" blueprint. Once crafted and equipped, the unique ability will allow players to force choke and hold enemies in the air for a few seconds, giving them a chance to land blows at their own pleasure.

The developers at Techland have taken the tradition of Easter eggs to whole new levels over the years and have added references, hidden codes, weapons, and even entire levels to its games. In addition to Star Wars, hidden Super Mario sneakers have also been discovered in Dying Light 2 and give players the ability to triple jump. This proves that the open world of Dying Light 2 is full of more secrets and Easter eggs waiting to be discovered.

Star Wars' force choke ability perfectly suits Dying Light 2's brutal hack-n-slash combat and can be easily used to overtake numerous sections in its campaign. It's currently unknown if there are any more Easter eggs pertaining to Star Wars, but those curious can begin searching, as Techland's latest zombie adventure is officially out now.
