After many years of waiting, Dying Light 2 is finally here, and new achievement stats indicate that fans are having difficulties overcoming the game's greatest challenges. Dying Light 2 is a pretty rich RPG with lots of content for players to dive into, including lots of side quests, parkour time trials, and different zombies to slay. Needless to say, this dense game is going to take some time for players to 100%.

Ahead of the release, Techland estimated it would take players 500 hours to 100% Dying Light 2. While the actual main story is significantly shorter than that, it's still a meaty game that requires hours of investment. With that said, given the extended wait for the game, some players are more than happy to have a title that continues to keep them busy. Nonetheless, even though the game's been out for a week now, it seems like players are only scratching the surface.

Techland has exclusively provided some Dying Light 2 stats to Screen Rant which reveal the rarest achievements and trophies in the game. Although Steam players have earned 17 million achievements and PlayStation users have earned 11 million trophies in the game, there are some that only a handful of players have obtained. Players are most notably having trouble killing Volatiles, exercising efficiency in perfect blocks, and pulling off headshots with the bow and arrow. Despite some of these challenges, players have uncovered some of Dying Light 2's many secrets already and are likely well on their way to finding more.

As Steam data showed following release, Dying Light 2 is already a huge hit. Techland also confirmed the game had over three million unique players in the game's first weekend. There's no telling how many zombies have been killed in that time, but it's likely that there's been a lot of virtual undead bloodshed in the last seven days. Given this immense success, it's likely Techland's zombie franchise will continue to thrive for years to come. The developer has already pledged to support Dying Light 2 for five years, so players will have a reason to keep playing for a long time.

Since the original Dying Light continued to have a stable player base years after it was released, it's likely some of these rare Dying Light 2 achievements will become far more common over the next few months and years. Techland hasn't detailed what its exact plans are for the future, but has stated it would be open to expanding on Dying Light via movies and spin-off games.
