Olivia Jade Giannulli is defending Tyra Banks from fans that have been bashing her hosting skills on Dancing With The Stars. Prior to the start of season 29 last fall, ABC announced that longtime host Tom Bergeron and his co-host Erin Andrews would not be returning to the ballroom to host the dancing competition. Tyra joined the cast of the show in their place.

Many longtime fans of the show were devastated by this shocking, and somewhat sudden, news. After seeing how much change she brought to the show, a petition was started to remove Tyra. Many pleaded with the network to bring back Tom; however, Tom has since made it clear that he is leaving that chapter of his life in the past. Fans were even more disappointed when it was confirmed that Tyra would continue on hosting the dancing competition for the milestone season 30.

Since the start of season 30 back in September, Tyra has continued to be bashed by fans for her hosting skills. Now, contestant Olivia Jade is coming to her defense. After Olivia and her professional partner Val Chmerkovskiy survived the elimination following Horror Night earlier this week, Olivia addressed the hate that Tyra has been receiving. According to The Sun, Olivia was asked how she felt about Tyra hosting the show. Olivia had nothing but good things to say about the former host of America's Next Top Model. She exclaimed, “I think she has been doing great. I love Tyra."

Professional dancer Cheryl Burke chimed in as she too defended Tyra against the recent backlash. Cheryl, who is partnered with Peloton instructor turned influencer Cody Rigsby, added, “I thought tonight she definitely stood out to me in a good way, she has been very sweet and supportive." Not only does Cheryl believe Tyra is "doing amazing," but she also appreciates the fact that Tyra has been forming relationships with all of the professional dancers as well as the stars competing this season. Cheryl feels this "personal connection" is very "important." As for the backlash Tyra has received for her over-the-top costumes this season, Olivia said, "I think she slays her walk, she comes out there and she is killing it."

Many viewers believe that Tyra has played a role in the many changes the show has made since she joined the cast last season. While they may not be loving Tyra's hosting skills in the ballroom, the professional dancers and stars seem to be enjoying her presence. Unfortunately for these fans, it is perceived that Tyra will continue on as the show's host for quite some time.
