Dancing with the Stars season 31 week 5 will be a two-night event, titled Stars' Stories Week, which will present two episodes for fans, Most Memorable Year and Prom Night, and the stars have revealed which years were their most impactful. This will be an especially challenging DWTS week, as the stars will be performing two routines for the first time, plus two dances in the fan-favorite Dance Marathon, which returns on Prom Night. Additionally, two couples will be eliminated from the competition.

In a series of DWTS Instagram posts, the contestants revealed which years of their lives they chose to represent through dance on the Most Memorable Year episode. In past years, this theme has led to some emotional breakthroughs and poignant moments, which have brought the performers and audience to tears. The stars will have to be especially vulnerable as they open up about times in their lives that were impactful, whether they were joyous or tragic. The DWTS season 31 contestants' choices will surely produce dance performances that are works of art, which will be remembered for years to come.

Dancing With The Stars' Joseph Baena

Joseph is paying tribute to 2022, "the year I did it my way," and earned his own success. As per DWTS, he is Arnold Schwarzenegger's son. He will dance the rumba to "My Way" by Frank Sinatra, with his partner, Daniella Karagach.

Dancing With The Stars' Selma Blair

Selma will look back at 2018, "the year I was diagnosed with MS." Selma has not let multiple sclerosis stop her from competing on DWTS. As per DWTS, she and her partner Sasha Farber will dance a waltz to "What The World Needs Now Is Love" by Andra Day.

Dancing With The Stars' Wayne Brady

Wayne has topped the leaderboard for the past three weeks, with his partner, Witney Carson. He will pay tribute to 2003, "the year my daughter was born." To give his foxtrot routine an even more personal touch, as per DWTS, Wayne will dance to his own song, "Beautiful," with Jim Brickman.

Dancing With The Stars' Charli D'Amelio

Charli has placed first every week with her partner, Mark Ballas. For her most memorable year, she chose 2022, "the year I experienced growth and am learning to live with anxiety." According to DWTS, Charli and Mark will perform a contemporary routine to "when the party’s over" by Lewis Capaldi.

Dancing With The Stars' Heidi D'Amelio

Heidi will reminisce about 1997, "the year I moved to NYC," during her rumba with Artem Chigvintsev. They will dance to "Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You (I Love You Baby)" by Lauryn Hill. As per DWTS, Heidi's dance will include the story of how she found love in NYC.

Dancing With The Stars' Jessie James Decker

For her performance, Jessie chose 2014, "the year I became a mother," one of the greatest joys in her life. She will dance a tango with her partner, Alan Bersten. To make the routine even more personal, according to DTWS, she and Alan will dance to her own song, "Blue Jeans."

Dancing With The Stars' Trevor Donovan

Trevor will take it back to 2009, as he celebrates, "the year I realized my dream." He debuted as Teddy Montgomery on the hit show 90210 that same year. As per DWTS, he and his partner Emma Slater will dance a jazz routine to "Viva La Vida" by Coldplay.

Dancing With The Stars' Daniel Durant

As per DWTS, Daniel's most memorable year is 2019, "the year my life changed and I acted in my first feature film." He is dancing a contemporary routine with his partner Britt Stewart ("Both Sides Now" by Joni Mitchell). The song is from the Oscar-winning film CODA, in which he starred.

Dancing With The Stars' Vinny Guadagnino

According to DWTS, Vinny will take the audience back to 2009, "the year that changed my life." That was the year when Jersey Shore premiered. He and his partner Koko Iwasaki will dance a jazz routine to "Levels" by Avicii.

Dancing With The Stars' Shangela

Shangela is looking back on 2013, "the year I snapped my leg in two." A terrifying accident caused this life-changing moment, which, as per DWTS, Shangela will express through her foxtrot to "Roar (Acoustic)" by Katy Perry, with her professional partner, Gleb Savchenko.

Dancing With The Stars' Jordin Sparks

Jordin will honor 2017, "the year I found the love of my life," in her salsa dance with partner Brandon Armstrong. They will dance to "Let’s Get Married (ReMarqable Remix)" by Jagged Edge feat. RUN. According to DWTS, she is married to Dana Isaiah, and gave birth to their son DJ in 2018.

Dancing With The Stars' Gabby Windey

For the past three weeks, Gabby has topped the leaderboard with her partner, Val Chmerkovskiy. She chose 2020, "the year I answered a call of duty," for her most memorable year. As an ICU nurse, as per DWTS, Gabby was on the front lines during the COVID-19 pandemic. Gabby will perform the foxtrot with Val, to "If the World Should Ever Stop," by JP Cooper.

The DWTS Most Memorable Year episode is always an extraordinary and emotional night. The season 31 contestants have some incredible stories to tell. This is sure to be an episode that will be remembered forever.
