The former lead of The Bachelor, Matt James, is impressing his girlfriend Rachael Kirkconnell with his new Dancing With the Stars moves. Matt chose Rachael at the end of his season, but the two broke up briefly following claims of racially insensitive actions in Rachael's past. The pair ended up reconciling and getting back together. Now, Matt and Rachael are both happy in their relationship and are taking things at their own pace.

Dancing With the Stars is entering its 30th season and has a star-studded cast ready to compete. Matt is following in the footsteps of fellow Bachelor Nation alumni Hannah Brown, "Grocery Store" Joe Amabile, and Kaitlyn Bristowe, who all competed for the Mirrorball Trophy, with Hannah and Kaitlyn taking it home. It hasn't been announced who taught Matt all his impressive dance moves, as his partner has yet to be revealed. Along with Matt, Dance Moms alum JoJo Siwa will be competing with a same-sex partner, Olympian Suni Lee will take on the dance floor, and Beverly Hills, 90210 star Brian Austin Green might be dancing with his girlfriend, DWTS pro Sharna Burgess. Fans of The Bachelor will certainly be rooting for Matt to come out a DWTS champion.

Rachael recently dished about the upcoming season and how proud she is of her boyfriend. "I’m impressed with everything he does. I think he’s going to do really well. He’s not the most fluid, and he doesn’t have the rhythm down yet, but I think he will [get it]," Rachael told Us Weekly about Matt's dance skills. She also gushed about his partner, who will be revealed in the premiere, saying they're "so amazing" and that "they work really well together."

Although Rachael would be at every show to hype Matt up if she could, COVID-19 restrictions could keep her from attending. This season of DWTS has an even stricter protocol than the last one, which didn't feature a live audience, to ensure everyone stays safe. "I would love to be there and support him," Rachael said. She's also been enjoying getting to spend time in Los Angeles, where Dancing With the Stars films, and traveling back and forth between there and her home.

Bachelor alums have competed on Dancing With the Stars multiple times, with a few of them winning it all, so it will be fun for fans to see Matt get his time to shine on the dance floor. After all the drama surrounding their relationship, it's also nice to see that Matt and Rachael are in a good place together and that she's excited to watch him compete. Maybe we'll even see her in the ballroom next season.
