Dancing With The Stars contestant Mike “The Miz” Mizanin was eliminated from the competition during Queen Week, but he doesn’t see it as a failure. He and his partner, Witney Carson, earned consistently better scores as the weeks went by. The Miz wowed the audience with his playful and bold dances, often performing in full makeup as characters like Disney's Genie and Scar. The judges praised him for his growth with each dance and were impressed by his enthusiasm and commitment.

During Queen Week, the contestants performed two dances, one solo and one relay. In the relay, they were separated into three groups of three and competed against their group members for one bonus point from each judge, for a total of four. For their solo routine, The Miz and Witney performed a foxtrot to "Radio Ga Ga" for which they earned four 8's from the judges. In the relay, they danced the jive to "Crazy Little Thing Called Love," along with Iman Shumpert and his partner, Daniella Karagach, and Cody Rigsby and his partner, Cheryl Burke. Iman and Cody split the four bonus points from the judges, leaving The Miz with none. He and Witney were at the bottom of the leaderboard with a total of 32 points, so it was no surprise when they were in the Bottom 2, even though they were fan-favorites. However, everyone in the ballroom was shocked when frontrunners JoJo Siwa and Jenna Johnson were also at risk for elimination. The judges unanimously saved JoJo and Jenna, ending The Miz and Witney's journey on the show.

In an interview with ET, The Miz spoke about his elimination, viewing his time on the show as a success rather than a failure. He admitted that "the writing was on the wall" when he saw that JoJo and Jenna were in the Bottom 2 with him and Witney. However, he was proud of the work he did in the competition, stating, "I gave my best, most mentally, physically, emotionally, mentally--I gave everything I have, and it wasn't enough. And that's fine. All my failures in life have taught me more than any of my successes." He actually doesn't consider his elimination a failure, instead calling it a "minor setback to where I learned a lot about myself." Witney agreed, stating that she didn't know what the reason was that they were eliminated, but "Mike is the most hard working person I've worked with. Honestly, he gives it 110%, anything that he does, and this competition was no different. He did fantastic. I'm so sad it got cut short."

The Miz had plenty of praise for Witney as well. He acknowledged that the competition was tough, but he doesn't have any ill feelings about it because of Witney, who helped him to get this far in the competition. He added, "I put my best out there. I had the best choreographer. She was creative. She helped me get to where I needed to be. And to be honest, I felt like I did a great job. I didn't feel like I fell on my face. I thought I represented myself, as well as my family, as well as everyone, the best I possibly could've." The Miz proved this to be true through his willingness to accept criticism and commitment to improve with every dance.

Each week, The Miz attempted to apply Witney's techniques and the judges' critiques to his dances, proving that his goal was not only to win the competition but also to learn and grow within himself while learning something new. He entertained everyone with his big personality and lively dances. He should be proud of his work on the show. The Miz performed in iconic costumes and dances that will be remembered forever in the show's history.
