While competing on this season of Dancing With The Stars, JoJo Siwa announced she is set to host her own competition reality series on the streaming service Peacock. JoJo got her start after appearing on Dance Moms spin-off Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition at the age of nine. She was the youngest contestant on the show that season, impressing Abby Lee Miller enough for her to add her to her competition team, featured on the show Dance Moms, despite finishing in 5th place. JoJo joined Dance Moms as a full-time cast member in the show's fifth season as a replacement for original team member Chloe Lukasiak, who left after a major argument between Abby and her mom.

Despite only being on the show for two seasons, JoJo has managed to become one of the most successful cast members after the show ended. After leaving the show, JoJo signed a major contract with Nickelodeon and quickly became a household name. She has multiple music videos and was in the middle of a sold out tour when the pandemic hit. JoJo was even listed by Time Magazine as one of the 100 most influential people of 2020. In January 2021, JoJo came out to her fans as being part of the LGBTQ+ community and introduced fans to her girlfriend. Shortly after, JoJo made history as being the first contestant on DWTS to compete with a same-sex partner.

JoJo announced Thursday that she is going back to her roots, as she is set to host her own reality competition series. As reported by E! News, JoJo has signed on to host the show called Siwas Dance Pop Revolution with her mom Jessalyn Siwa for the streaming service Peacock. The show will follow Jessalyn and JoJo as they mentor the contestants to become the next big star. A total of eleven contestants are competing against each other for a spot on a new singing group called XOMG Pop, which will be managed by Jessalyn. As well as hosting, JoJo will act as a choreographer during the various performance challenges the contestants will have to participate in. Those who are chosen to be in the band will get to be the opening act for JoJo on her next tour.

The contestants on the show are all certified JoJo Siwa mega fans. The full list of contestants has been announced, and it includes Bella Cianni Llerena, Brooklynn Pitts, Dallas Skye Gatson, Emily Hoder, Kinley Cunningham, Kiya Barczyszyn, Laila Clark, Leigha Rose Sanderson, Tatum Brady, Tamara "Tinie T" Andreasyan, and Sadie O'Sullivan. The first three out of a total of eight episodes of the show are set to drop on Peacock on Thursday, November 4. The remaining five episodes are set to be released once a week in the weeks that follow.

If there is anything JoJo knows how to do, is break barriers and make it easier for those who will come up after her. The only question is, what barrier will JoJo break next? After becoming the first contestant to dance with a same sex partner on Dancing With The Stars, it doesn't seem as if JoJo is done changing the world. It will be interesting to see the other ways in which JoJo will continue to make an impact. She has already done so much at the age of 18, and it does not seem like JoJo's star power is going to fade anytime soon.
