It's almost Halloween, and JoJo Siwa is dressing up as her Dancing With the Stars partner, Jenna Johnson. JoJo and Jenna are the first same-sex partnership on the show and are constantly on top of the leaderboard. The pair have worn on a lot of different costumes throughout this season's run so far, including characters from the movies Grease and Descendants. They also broke gender barriers by having JoJo dress as Prince Charming and Jenna dress as Cinderella for their Disney Heroes Night Viennese Waltz.
JoJo and Jenna have also gotten closer as friends. When judge Carrie Ann Inaba told the pair that one of their dances was a little too safe, they trusted in each other and made sure their foxtrot pushed the boundaries. Jenna even pushed JoJo harder than she ever has as a dancer, and it paid off in the end. Between their highly-scored dances each week and their behind-the-scenes social media posts together, it looks like the two have created a really strong bond. Their relationship even seems familial, with Jenna looking at JoJo like a younger sibling. With how things are going so far, JoJo and Jenna are probably going to be in the competition until the very end.
JoJo took to Instagram to post a photo of herself dressed up as Jenna. "It’s almost Halloween…. So today I decided to dress up as @jennajohnson," JoJo wrote. "Made sure I hit every detail from HEAD to TOE!!! Literally colored my hair and painted my toes." The photo shows JoJo and Jenna in matching red crop tops and leggings, denim jackets, white sneakers, and even brown hair tied up in ponytails. "Definitely was worth it!!! We are PREPARED and EXCITED for this Monday on @dancingabc," JoJo continued. Fellow contestant, Amanda Kloots, pointed out, "Lol you put on a ring too," referring to JoJo's fake wedding ring she's wearing to match Jenna.
According to Hello, some fans thought JoJo's ring meant she was engaged to her girlfriend, Kylie Prew. However, breakup rumors have recently been swirling around the couple. JoJo and Kylie allegedly broke things off two weeks ago, which is why Kylie hasn't been present at any of JoJo's DWTS performances lately. Luckily, JoJo has Jenna to lean on, and the supposed breakup had no impact on their strong friendship.
Whether the breakup rumors are true or not, at least JoJo has a good friend in Jenna to help her through whatever she's facing. Plus, the two are continuously winning over the judges and the fans each week. It wouldn't be surprising if the pair's talent and dedication turned into a victory for the show's first same-sex partners, landing JoJo and Jenna the Mirrorball Trophy at the end of the season.
